We are qualified and experienced dog trainers who offer first class dog walking services, home visits and 1 to 1 to private training sessions.
Between us we have over 30 years experience training dogs, particularly rescue dogs and between Dawn and myself we currently own 8 dogs rescued from various sources.

We asked Keith for help when after lockdown our dog became very fear reactive with new people coming into the house and moving around him, and at pubs/restaurants especially waiters! Keith was super knowledgable and gave us lots of help both in person sessions and via email. Over the course or around a month and a half we have been able to take him to a busy pub today with not one reaction towards any person which is amazing! Keith was recommended to us when we started to experience behavioural problems with our one year old puppy. She became possessive, feeling the need to "protect" her family (particularly me) when she encountered other dogs and sometimes people.
Keith is very calm (and firm) and the changes in her behaviour patterns after he began to walk her were almost immediate. He has trained her both on and off lead and I would have no hesitation in recommending him both as a trainer and as a walker - you can almost 'see' the rapport he has with the dogs in his care!

Keith was recommended to me when I first moved to Harpenden. I was looking for a dog walker who was used to working with large breeds that had been rescued and had some behavioural issues. Keith was perfect. He immediately built up a rapport with Charlie - being firm with him but extremely caring. Charlie would bound out of the house every time Keith came to collect him. Keith was also wonderful in offering me advice and guidance on how to improve Charlie's behaviour. I really couldn't rate him highly enough and Charlie and I were really sad when he moved to Sutton Coldfield. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker or trainer. Keith was recommended to us by a neighbour, he assessed and addressed the training required for our puppy. We’d already seen two trainers prior to Keith, but it was only Keith’s methods our puppy responded to - the results were so quick and we were so pleased. We were due to get another puppy two weeks later and he gave some really useful tips and advise. Can’t recommend Keith enough, he’s genuine, very reasonable and is clearly very experienced in what he does best! We will also be attending a dog training class that was recommended by Keith. This is a supportive service in that it teaches both the dog and the owner. I have learned a great deal about my own abilities when working with my dog and how to understand the dog's needs and how to read it's language in situations.
I am now confident as an owner when walking my dog in public and this in turn has strengthened the bond between me and my dog. I would highly recommend this service. Keith has given one to one support and this has resulted in positive and speedy progress for confidence, bonding and general awareness necessary when working and looking after dogs.

Whilst recovering from a hip replacement i urgently needed someone to walk my nervous sheltie who was terrified of busy roads loud noises and dustcarts.
Keith from Sutton K9 popped round to introduce himself, meet Freddy and give him a trial walk. Keith has a wonderful professional but friendly easy-going approach which not only reassured me that my dog was safe but Keith has also worked a miracle on Freddy who now sits to order, walks calmly along busy main roads and just stands and stares at dustcarts. What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy working with dogs and dog owners and get a great deal of enjoyment in helping to improve the relationship and bond between them so that owning a dog is enjoyable and rewarding for both,
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been a volunteer with a dog rescue for the last 20 years and enjoy working with dogs so much I decided to start on my own training and walking them, It's better than sitting behind a desk.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a qualified dog trainer and canine behaviourist with over 20 years experience working with "rescue" German Shepherd Dogs in particular. I have studied with both the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training and the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. I am a member of the Guild of Dog Trainers and also a volunteer trainer at Sutton Coldfield and District Dog Training Club.
