We have a slate-tiled Victorian house that had a leak problem with 120-year old lead valleys. Having asked two other contractors to look at it without even getting a response, I was very pleased with the way Stace Roofing responded to everything. Their comms are very good, and they seem to have a very professional team in the office, which most builders sadly lack. The work was done as planned, and timing was all as agreed. I experienced complete satisfaction with the work Stace Roofing did with repair work to my roof. The roof is 80 years old with the consequence that many tiles were either broken or very thin. Stace used great imagination in using existing and new tiles to ensure no evidence of repair or patching. I engaged Stace Roofing to replace the roofs on 6 dormers. From the planning stage through to completion all aspects of the service and workmanship were excellent. Great business, Stace Roofing have a really good team, good time keeping, reliable, well mannered, a real do what they say they are going to do business.
We had a roof large roof refitted 2 years ago by Stace and like most large roofs there was a couple of small teething issues. They were quick to respond when I emailed them regarding the issue after 2 years of no contact and appeared within the same week and fixed the minor issues. From start to finish a great service, highly recommendable.

Emailed for a quote, got quote, scaffold went up, roofers started stripping old roof, roofers put new roof etc. on, scaffold took down.
I hardly knew they were there, very professional very tidy. i would recommend this company to anyone.
The only thing that slowed them down was the bad weather.
The quote i got was the price i paid.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Formed in 1998 by Andrew Stace and joined shortly afterwards by his Brother and Partner, Greg Stace.
Andrew & Greg had come from a roofing background, their Father and Uncles were both involved in the trade and Andrew & Greg have been climbing around on roofs since the age of 13 when they used to help out during school holidays and weekends.
Andrew went on to begin work at 16 as an Apprentice for Sydall’s Roofing in Grantham, and was further developed by Mark and Steve Davies of Melton Mowbray.
A role in the offices of Ladderbridge Roofing of Loughborough, enabled Andrew to be trained in Roofing Surveying & Estimating, and given an introduction to contracts management, helping with the running of 30 roofing teams all over the Midlands.
Stace Roofing was formed shortly after leaving Ladderbridge.
