"Buki and his team did excellent work on our kitchen extension, and the project was completed within budget and on the schedule. Spectrum Homes won the contract not because they were the cheapest neither the most expensive, but because we liked Buki's approach. He was very detailed from the day he came to do a survey/site inspection to the quotation presentation. The tasks involved are the following: removal of some internal walls which are replaced with RSJ beams, installation of an Aluminium roof lantern; underfloor heating; Aluminium bi-fold doors; tiling, plastering, electrical, plumbing and be-spoke kitchen unit which was designed for us by Spectrum Homes supplier. There are many ways to add to the footprint of your home to achieve extension - these include the addition of living space to rear elevation and a new floor above garage, and conversion of garage to a bedroom. Home extension requires a great deal of planning and project management. With our in-house design team, we can efficiently deliver your project within budget and on schedule.
Design
Our design team work with you to develop a concept design through to a detailed architectural design. At this stage, several changes are possible until you are 100% satisfied with the concept. Our designer utilises Revit software with the capability to produce a 3D view of the concept design that allows a walk-through. After the walk-through, you can make all necessary changes before creating a detailed architectural design. A detailed architectural drawings is known as working drawings which the Structural Engineer and Quantity Surveyor use to produce Structural drawings and Bill of Quantities (Cost Schedule). We have both the Structural Engineer and Quantity Surveyor that work with us too.
