I have recently used the services of Greg Crisp @ Southern Lawn Care. "Care" is the operative word. Greg called by invitation to learn my needs as I am now unable to perform the maintenance care my garden requires. He always enquired if a certain date was convenient to me. He works "carefully", conscientiously and I believe his prices to be very competitive. I brought in Mark last spring having had a slight accident in applying fertilizer on my back lawn also the lawn had been going downhill for a couple of years or so.
Seeing it now, it does not seem the same lawn.
Mark carried out scarifying, hollow tining, over seeding and applied dressings at the right time and in the right quantities!! It has just had its final winter treatment for the year and will be assessed early next spring for the 2018 treatment. If you have any lawn problems, I would thoroughly recommend Mark for your first 'Port of Call' You will not be disappointed.

Our lawn has been struggling to cope with the effects of our female Spaniel creating brown patches for years, and was sparsely covered in other parts, due to sun / shade issues in different parts of the garden.
Mark came over and quickly presented his proposals, which involved a step-by-step approach over the season - scarify / hollow-tine / fertilise / re-seed, which we have now had completed over recent months, such that the treatments can be easily appreciated.
It hasn't been plain sailing, but Mark has persisted and often gone the extra mile, e.g. when man-handling a heavy machine up our narrow steps, or offering ad hoc / follow-up advice by phone / text along the way to ensure that we obtained a satisfactory result.
Mark has been a pleasure to deal with and I am happy that we have been able to support a local business getting underway.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lawn Crew to anyone who wishes to have a professional solution to their lawn problems.

Lawn Crew did a great job of overhauling our lawn to remove huge amounts of moss. Various steps were taken, from laying lawn sand, scarifying, seeding preparation, seeding, feeding, etc. 6 weeks later we had lots of new grass growing where all the horrible moss had been. I love being outdoors and meeting new people, I love seeing a tired lawn spring into life!
I love using my expertise and knowledge of 15 years in the lawn care and gardening business to bring customers gardens and their vision of what a garden and lawn should look like.
For me , working outside is key to my happiness and wellbeing, seeing nature and experiencing it on a daily basis, there really is nothing like working in the open air
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always wanted to work for myself so I could work to very high standards without any comprises!
The freedom to work for who I want and when I want ,but as I live the job so much ,I tend to work as much as I can , because being a lawn care and gardener defines who I am .
