Describe your creative process.
I work with my clients to understand their business as much as I can before I start working on a project. Meeting up with my client ideally in their place of work helps me to get a better picture of how they work, and also understanding the wider vision of their business.
When I start a project I will always provide my clients with a wide selection of options based on the information I have received from them. I will always meet up with my clients to present them with the ideas and make sure I am clear on the feedback received, so that I can move the project forward making sure my client is happy.
The process will go from initial design stage, to the development where I will look to provide my client with a more refined selection of designs based on the feedback from the previous meeting. From there the final design will be finalised once the client is happy.
I feel that building relationships with my clients is important, so I will always endeavour to make sure I help my clients manage their brand, so that they are utilising their brand image as well as they can. I will always look to provide my clients with a brand style guide, so that their brand is kept consistent and is not misused in anyway. Designing promotional graphics and providing graphics for social media is a way to make your brand stand out, too.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Before I start work for a new client, I will send them a brief with a series of questions that will help me understand their requirements for the project, as well as helping be understand the background of their business better.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people and their business grow through having an effective brand image that they are proud of and are happy to show people. Watching a brand grow is exciting, and I see it as going on a journey with the client. Seeing peoples business' grow and develop more through their new brand image is really rewarding in itself as a designer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being a graphic designer is a career I have wanted to pursue for a long time having studied it at university. Past jobs I have had in the design industry have given me the experience I need to be able to set up my own company. I am love working with people and helping them realise the potential of their business through having an effective brand image, and this is what my business is built around.
