A friend and I spent an amazing afternoon with Sarah learning how to apply make-up for a natural, everyday look that we could then enhance for evening or events. Neither of us wear much make-up and are totally daunted by the huge range of products available if you go to a typical shop counter - not to mention we don’t want to look like the vast majority of overly made up salespeople! Sarah has such a lovely set-up and a really welcoming, warm and understanding attitude. She demonstrated how to apply the various products on herself and we then copied her ... and it was so easy! Eyeshadow went on perfectly, a slightly smoky eyeliner look was a doddle to do (who knew!), redness and blemishes disappeared but our skin still looked natural and dewy. We learnt so many easy-to-repeat tricks that we would never have known without this session - like where to apply your blusher (hint, it’s not where you think), how to use your mascara wand to best effect, how to get your make-up to stay put all day, using hairspray on your eyebrows...wow! Thank you Sarah for your patience and encouragement (and for the lovely snacks and treats!) and the result is that people have asked if I’ve been on holiday or had my hair done. Sarah was just amazing from start to finish. I had my wedding make-up trial where Sarah talked through extensively what I wanted first and foremost then noted everything used on my skin, she was so meticulous which put me at ease. She kept in touch leading up to the wedding and then even went out her way to order my skin care products and emailed me a routine leading up to the wedding.If you want someone professional, friendly but also fantastic at her job book Sarah, I promise you won't regret it. I had the most fantastic makeup lesson from Sarah last week and cannot recommend her highly enough - she is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, utterly professional, a great teacher, very patient and also a delightful, friendly person. I had been applying my makeup in the same way for decades and it no longer worked. I decided I needed to take a different approach and get some professional help rather than optimistically buying products for the 'mature woman' that I had no idea how to use. I am so, so pleased that I chose Sarah for my lesson. I learned so many techniques, gained important (and surprising) insights about products and was introduced to a colour palette I would never have considered using, but which really suited me. I had a lovely afternoon and received so many compliments about the finished look, which survived the elements and lasted all night. I’ve now completed quite a few face to face lessons which have been tailored to exactly what I wanted to do. I’ve learned so much and Sarah is patient, friendly and so talented. Thank you so much for a great lesson Sarah! Everything was explained and demonstrated at a good pace, so was easy to take in. The lesson was fun as well as informative and detailed. Sarah is a lovely, approachable lady who is brilliant at what she does, and I would recommend her tutorials to everyone. I'd got into a bit of a rut with my make-up routine, after two kids and suddenly reaching my forties, and Sarah was able to give me lots of great ideas to help give my 40-something face a much-needed make-over and my make up bag a much-needed overhaul. The tutorial lasted 2.5 hours and she gave me so many useful tips which I have now incorporated into my every day make up routine. I looked fab at the end of the session (though I say so myself!), and Sarah has given me the confidence to experiment with different looks and try out colours I wouldn't normally have had the confidence to use. I recently completed a full online makeup course with Sarah. I have a keen interest in makeup and application and chose to do the course mainly to build on my personal skills and be able to make up friends and family if they wish. After lots of research into makeup courses I am so glad I chose to complete one with Sarah. I completed one module each month. It was good to focus on one aspect at a time and Sarah gave me thorough , clear and constructive feedback on all the practical work I sent her. Feedback was given very quickly, often within a couple of days. The modules were sent via email and were very simple to follow. A variety of products are recommended in each module to suit all budgets. Sarah is very talented, knowledgable and approachable. We are still in touch regularly even though I have completed the course and she continues to give me great advice and feedback.
