Richard Saunders has a 'can do' attitude and was extremely helpful in accommodating my uncertain date of moving. He is very courteous and reliable. His team are completely competent and good natured and helped to pack and remove my house contents to a local storage facility and later to my new home where they re-built wardrobes and plumbed in my washing machine etc. Everything was done with the minimum of fuss. This was the third time I have used R J S Removals and every time their services have been exemplary. I first used this company around 7 years ago when’s I had to move from Reading to Glasgow and then back to Reading a year later. . both trips involved them arranging to stay overnight at a hotel, but their price was very competitive. Their professionalism and good humour made the move feel much easier than I expected. I cannot fault them whatsoever, especially Richard who, despite short notice was able to shuffle their other commitments in order to fit my latest move In what was a very busy time due to Bank Holiday weekend. Richard helped us move our entire household to the Netherlands from Oxford, and it was the smoothest moving experience I’ve ever had! Not a single item damaged, super quick, and he was so flexible with dates- we changed dates the week before moving and he moved things around to make sure our stuff arrived on time, despite it beimg a Sunday. It’s a family run business, and the staff is lovely, and they really take care of your stuff, unlike some of the larger movers who suncontract at minimum wage and dump things into cartons as quickly as possible.

We took the full packing and unpacking service and they were extremely helpful throughout the process. We got 4 different quotes and RJS were the cheapest, and as we now know, the best! Thanks a lot Richard and team, we will be in touch for the next time we have to move! More...

RJS Removals deserve the highest recommendation. In October Richard and his team moved my brother in law from Abingdon to Tyneside. It was a very difficult and emotional move for my brother in law. After glowing recommendations in the Didcot area, Richard and his team were tasked with moving us less than a couple of miles up the road to our new home. All I can say is that they were absolutely superb from start to finish, and despite problems with solicitors / developers on the day, they couldn't have been more helpful in getting our items into our new home quickly and safely. It's not often I write a review, but Richard and the team were a top bunch of blokes and deserve all the credit they get - I genuinely could not recommend them highly enough.One tip for anyone reading this who may not have moved previously, and more of a general tip - just remember that the RJS team are there to help you, so do what you can to help them. Label your boxes nice and clear, and if you're moving into a larger home, when you get there, stick some paper on the doors so they know what is Bed 1, Bed 2, Study, Dining Room etc. It makes everyone's lives easier on what can be a busy day!Thanks again guys - you were fab! I found moving pretty stressful but from the moment they replied to my email enquiry to get a quote, I felt confident that they knew what they were doing. Richard and his team were fantastic when they moved us over the weekend of the 26th August this year...we could not recommend them highly enough. We moved two houses into one and they couldn't do enough for us even working the Bank Holiday Monday without any problem.
