Richard took our initial ideas and ran with them adding his own spin and also ideas for different shots which have turned out to be some of our favourites! It has been an absolute pleasure working with Richard (Richard Richards Photography), having met him when he was filming at our school with an outside organisation, I was so impressed that I gave him a call to book him for a videography project producing promotional materials and social media clips for our 6th Form. Richard walked me through the process brilliantly by discussing message and style, as well as organisation, which I believe has guaranteed a better quality outcome that I could have managed without this stage. On the filming day Richard interacted with staff and students in such a great way that he really brought out the best in them when being on film could be difficult for some. Production has also been very easy, with Richard asking all the right questions and responding in a prompt and professional manner at all times. I'm DELIGHTED with the outcome and had a great time working with Richard and would definitely recommend him without reservations (I've already shared his details with other schools in out Trust). I have worked with Richard a couple of times within the educational sector, however our first large project began in Nov 2018. Richard provided his creative steer meeting for a brainstorming session before the shoot, he was flexible in his approach on shoot days and more than supportive when our final date took an unplanned turn. Richard provided an excellent level of service. We had a complex photo shoot to undertake for marketing purposes. We needed to gain a wide range of images using a combination of groups, triads and pairings drawn from a pool of approx. 20 people, undertaking different tasks, in different environments. The added challenge was that the environments were relatively confined in terms of space and light, and needed to be set up/altered between sets of photos. Also our budget was limited to half a days photography, but within this I felt we got exceptional value for money.I was impressed that Richard quickly built a professional rapport with the people being photographed, enabling them to relax and enjoy the experience. Despite no one having any real previous experience of being involved in anything similar before, people were quickly at ease.Richard was exceptionally prompt in getting the images to us, so within less than a week we have been able to start using them. Richard is an absolutely top class photographer! I worked with him for a shoot at my workplace involving multiple people and every single person loved his character. He creates a great atmosphere, puts everyone at ease, has fantastic engagement and had all of us laughing! Whilst still being upmost professional. Richard is fantastic at interpreting your brief and gets shots/angles/vibes I know other photographers wouldn't have captured. His work is outstanding quality and it's great to have that trust in your photographer that you can give them a minimal brief and they will still come back with fantastic shots, rather than feeling like you need to spoon feed them everything.
