What do you love most about your job?
There are many aspects to being a Makeup Artist that I love.
The creativity, having a free rein to be as creative and as imagintive as you wish is always a great feeling, and its definitely what keeps the job exciting.
Making people feel and look good, there is no better feeling than completing a makeover and your client being absolutely ecstatic with the results, seeing that end result makes every second worth while.
Also, the relationships you form along the way with both clients and other creatives. I have met and made some incredible friends since working as a Makeup Artist which has made jobs a thousand times better.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved being creative from a young age and knew I wanted to pursue a career in Makeup. My journey in makeup first began in 2013 when I completed a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Media, Theatrical and SFX Hair and Makeup. After completing my course I have gone on to be a successful Freelance Makeup Artist with 5+ years in the industry. I have had the pleasure of working with clothing brands such as Pretty Little Thing, Missguided and Jaded LDN, I have completed makeovers for a number of tv personalities and reality stars, had my work featured in various publications and social pages, and worked with companies such as Google, ITV and Cosmopolitan. I have done a number of amazing projects over the years and I am constantly learning and crafting my skill. No job is the same in makeup and I believe thats what's kept my dedication and love to the industry going.
I love all aspects of makeup and creating various looks, whether it be a glamorous evening look or a crazy special effects look, you can always be as creative and imaginative as you wish.
