Q&As

We love getting creative and working with lots of different people. Every project and client is unique, so every day we get to find new ways to use space, light and material to create something that brings joy to the people we work with.

We wanted to start a business where we could give our clients the full experience from day one and help them to get the absolute maximum out of their project within their available budget and timescales.

We do this by involving you in every stage of the process so you become part of the team and we become part of the family.

Resilient Edge is staffed only by fully qualified, Architects Registration Board (ARB) registered, and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Chartered Architects, meaning your project is run 100% by the highest qualified and regulated professionals in the industry.

Services

Pre-project assessments of site suitability, local need and community interest, typically relating to large scale commercial development, but also useful for weighing up multiple options for home improvement.

Initial consultation to establish the aims, restrictions and opportunities relating to a client’s ideas for their project.

Our experienced architects guide their clients through provisional design and budget considerations to help form a project brief that achieves all of the desired outcomes in the best possible way.

Early design ideas and development based on the initial project brief and subject to testing through subsequent research, consultation and further decision making.

Great for exploring an idea visually and providing enough information for other interested parties (banks, estate agents, builders, etc) to contribute further advice.

Design progression sufficient to agree the overall layout, construction and materials to be used, leading to submission of an application for planning permission.

Each project is unique, so our architects will advise on the most appropriate stage at which to submit an application as the project develops to ensure the best results.

Final detailing relating to internal fittings and finishes, construction pricing and regulatory compliance. This stage typically includes a formal submission to Building Control and the invitation of builders to tender, culminating in the signing of a construction Contract.

Regular site visits and administration of the building contract to ensure the works proceed as designed and in accordance with the prior agreed budget and timescales. Our experienced architects work closely with clients and builders during the construction stage to make sure the process is as smooth as possible.

Final inspection of the completed works, management of the rectification of any outstanding issues and final resolution of Contract obligations and payments. This culminates in the issue of a Final Certificate, a vital document for your bank, insurer and potential future purchasers.

Advice and evaluation following completion of construction to ensure our clients have full enjoyment of their space and are be able to maintain the building and grounds in an efficient and safe manner, maximising the functional life of property.
