I'm a Personal Trainer who has actually lost significant weight myself. I was morbidly obese at 22 stone and lost 10 stone. This makes me uniquely qualified to help you with your own weight loss and transformation as unlike other PTs, I've been there and done it myself, meaning I know how to help you achieve the same.

I’ve trained with Leon for the past month and a half now, with only little gym experience and confidence in a fitness sense as well a general sense. Not only has Leon been very generous with his time, providence of knowledge and skill, he’s increased my sense of confidence in and outside of the gym, even my motivation has improved majorly. This is no small feat I’ve found since starting. My fitness routine has been improved massively and his constant support through workout plans, information on how calorie deficits work, and detailed demonstrations on exercises has only taken it further. In terms of physical improvement, I’m very happy and proud of where I am now compared to where I started. Leon himself has taught me to be proud of tiny improvements and milestones, to always trust the process, which is a detail that makes Leon great to collaborate with if you come from a place of little to no experience. Through friendliness, humour and a great deal of support, I always looks forward to a session with Leon and I can’t recommend him enough. I’m almost a month into training with Leon after never setting foot in a gym before in my entire 26 years on this planet! I always felt nervous and like I would feel out of place but I’m already more confident that I ever thought I would be ! Leon is focused, on the ball, he really cares about what your goals are, where you’re at, and setting up a plan to help you achieve. He’s giving me the confidence to see I actually can do it! My sessions are so chill and good fun whilst being focused and challenging at the same time. The gym can be an intimidating place, especially for women, and as someone who takes all those anxieties away, I couldn’t recommend him more! I’m getting results in a handful of weeks that I struggled to achieve on my own for years. Can’t wait to continue my sessions! More...

Recently began my training journey with Leon at Raise The Bar Fitness. As someone who's had anxiety regarding fitness and going to gym's he's been great at helping me feel at ease in an environment I typically wouldn't be. Leon is very accepting of who you are, where you are at with your fitness and life in general, and what your overall goals are. He seems genuinely interested in what your strengths and weaknesses are and has the knowledge to adjust sessions on the fly to suit your needs and abilities. All of our sessions so far have been engaging and a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of fitness. Thanks to his encouragment I am finally feeling confident in my own abilities to get to where I want to be. Big shout out to Leon, I'm really looking forward to continuing training with him. More...

Helping others lose the way I wanted to be. I always felt like most fitness advice came from people who didn't know what they were doing - I lost the weight myself and I'm now helping people overcome the anxiety & uncertainty they have.

Unlike other PTs, I actually lost a significant amount of weight myself. Most other PTs have never been obese like I was, and so they don't know how to lose the weight, outside of just saying "Eat less, move more". Having navigated it myself, I have a much greater understanding of specific problems and issues my clients will face. Both physical and mental. This makes me much better suited to helping people with their weightloss.

I do provide an online based training package. This includes everything my regular in-person training does, outside of actually physically training with me in person.
