Our puppy, my daughter and I have just finished our 3rd course with Karen and we would all thoroughly recommend them. At 14 weeks, knowing next to nothing we went to puppy training, them moved on through Junior 1 and 2. At each stage we've found the sessions really enjoyable, informative and very useful. Karen helps you understand behaviours, teaches very practical real life skills and is ever ready to tailor advice to each particular puppy and owner. Looking forward to the next course! More...

Daisy, my Labradoodle, and I thoroughly enjoyed puppy classes. She got to meet all the other puppies and I got trained! Never make the mistake of thinking this is training the puppy. It is about training the owners to train and understand their new best friend. Once you understand this, and better to get there sooner than later, the more chance you have of success. The dogs get great experience of other dogs and a start on the road to being good well adjusted animals. Glad we did it with our Cavachon More...

When we started puppy school little Norman was very nervous of the other puppies. Thanks to Karen's encouraging and gentle approach Norman eventually came round in his own time. It took a few weeks but everything was positive and nothing was forced. Carefully choosing appropriate puppies to build his confidence 1 to 1. Delighted to now have a happy and confident young dog who loves to socialise and play with other dogs. This is the best decision I made joining the puppy class my pup Charlie was a bit of a handful but since going to the classes he has calmed down a lot learnt new trick and under Karen's tuition he is much better she is a fantastic trainer and a real nice person I am going to carry on with the lessons by taking Charlie to junior classes I would reccmmend this school to anyone with a puppy or problem pooch it's great it also teaches you as there is more to training a puppy than I thought but it opens your eyes realy look forward to Sunday's having fun with my dog and all at the school

Karen's puppy classes are fun and a great start to training your dog (most of it is about training the owner!). Once Duffy hit adolescence we had a few issues with recall and reacting to small children. Karen visited us in our home to observe and offered lots of practical advice. She even found some local children who were willing to come and meet Duffy. Things improved dramatically and we now have a happy, well-behaved dog! Karen certainly knows what she's doing! We took our mini Daxi to Puppy School and although he was probably the most disruptive pup there, the improvement in his behavior over the 6 sessions was amazing.

What was really interesting is that apart from the socialisation, instead of teaching the puppies, Karen taught us the techniques to teach our puppies ourselves. I now have the tools to teach Little Red what I need to.

Also of great benefit was the fact that Karen knows the sorts of important things puppies need to learn early on. This isn't something I could've figured out for myself. This was important.

The lessons were fun, informative and just the right length. They ware enjoyed by pooch and humans alike.

Little Red and I couldn't recommend Karen more highly. If you're considering puppy training, go for it. If you're wondering where to go, look no further - Puppy School is the place. More...

Karen is simply brilliant! She immediately identified where I needed to change my approach with Dennis and gave me some easy techniques to do this. The results were instant! Within 2 days I could hold the attention of my pup (which was non existent before that!) and his recall off the lead was 100%.
I had tried other trainers before Karen who had a different approach to dog training and this just did not work for me, and I didn't I feel comfortable with their techniques. In total contrast, Karen was all about positive reinforcement and working 'with' my dog to teach him the behaviours I wanted to encourage more of and it is no surprise Karen's approach is the better! I am so delighted she was recommended to me and I would urge anyone looking for a good quality and highly effective trainer to call Karen today! More...

Puppy school with Karen is great. Karen is very kind and our border terrier puppy loved her and learned a good deal about how to behave with people and other dogs. Karen controls the puppies very well with kindness and creates a safe environment for everyone. She taught us key words and instructions which we will use for the rest of our dog's life. The classes were extremely important to socialise all the puppies so they learn how to behave with other dogs and very quickly Karen assessed the personality of each puppy and encouraged play with dogs of similar temperament. We went to puppy school and junior classes with our boisterous puppy. Everything he now does well is thanks to Karen and all the positive training. He is great with other dogs, has good recall and walks really well on a lead, as well as doing all the basic commands. The training equips you to deal with lots of situations and build a strong bond with your puppy. The classes are fun and you get a really quiet afternoon! Karen is a great teacher, she helped us understanding our little cavapoo Carlo better with great tips. We contacted Karen for 121 lessons when Carlo reached 13 months and he started behaving like a rebellious teenager. With her help we were able to understand how to react when he misbehaved or would not listen and after a very quick period the improvement was noticeable. He is a happier puppy and walking him on the lead and off the lead is now again a please experience.
