My two dogs (Otto & Pip) have been on daily walkies with Katrina for just over a year. Katrina provides such a fab service - it’s really clear to see that she adores her job and all the dogs she takes out with her. Likewise, it’s so lovely to see how excited my two get whenever you mention “Katrina” or “Sandy” ☺️ More...

Q&As

It's a bit of a no brainer really...what's not to love? Apart from the obvious Manchester weather it's really the best job in the world.

I'm an outdoorsy kind of girl, I love nothing more (when it's dry) than being outside and exploring new spaces and new walks. When I'm doing that I've got my best pal Alfie by my side. He's almost 12 years old now and I want to spend as much time as possible with him, ever since I can remember seeing a dog has brought me that excited feeling and I can't help but want to play with them. They are just the best, they join a family and make it complete, every day since Alfie was a puppy he has dedicated himself to me and you can't ask for more than that

I worked in eCommerce for over 10 years, sat in an office working all hours and commuting in the slowest traffic known to man - it wasn't fun and it was getting me down so when my role changed it was the push that I needed.

Being self employed is kind of scary, having thought about it over and over I was never brave enough to give it a go but at the end of 2017 there was a window and an opportunity and I jumped for it!

Inspiration wise, Alfie is it, I know I've already rambled about him a bit but he has been through all sorts and none of it has ever stopped him being pleased to see me. He's in his golden years now and the flexibility of running Pets Get Physical is keeping him young. Still he loves to play and meet new friends, he's a gentle old man and he's great for guiding the youngsters and teaching them the doggy way

I hope to run my business as I do my personal life, if nothing else I am honest. I'm being completely open that I am not the most experienced, I'm sure there are plenty of other dog walkers who have walked a lot more dogs than I have.
However, what they can't outdo me on is passion. I love animals, always have

Services

We run two group walks each weekday, one earlier lunch and one later lunch. We pick up and drop off your pet and make sure they have lots of fun whilst we are out and about. I deliberately try and keep group sizes small, personally I think it is too much for one person to be in control of 6 dogs! In order to give them the best possible experience we keep groups to 3 - sometimes 4 if my Labrador Alfie comes along too.

If you are anything like me you will have heard some horror stories about kennels, we don't offer anything like that. Pets Get Physical is small, and we are dedicated. Our dog sitting is a holiday for your dog too, they get to come and have a sleepover with me and Alfie - he thinks it's great having his mates over to stay and play!

When puppies are too new to go and play in the big wide world we offer Puppy Visits. We'll call round and times suitable for you, for 30 minute visit to help break up their day. Happy to follow your guidelines and mirror any training you are employing, let them play out in the garden and keep them entertained. Obviously clean up any mess and replenish water whilst we are there
