What do you love most about your job?
Our team of 25+ dedicated Pet Care Pals, do the job that they do, because they love animals. Whether they provide regular, or ad-hoc care to our clients, a wonderful relationship is built up with them and their pets. The business is run by Sarah, who also provides the full array of care services that Pet Care Pals has to offer and she enjoys meeting with clients and carers on a regular basis, to ensure that the very best pet care is being provided.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Sarah, who has had dogs all her life, started looking after them for home boarding through an organisation, who very sadly didn’t provide the support and emergency cover that they said they would. Consequently, Sarah decided to start-up her own dog care business to ensure that she was delivering a service that her customers expected. Thinking that it would only ever be her providing this service, she commenced trading as Dog Board UK. Within months, the customer-base increased and Sarah took on additional Carers to help look after an ever-increasing number of dogs. The business grew dramatically in a very short time, and more frequently she was being asked to look after other pets. Therefore, it made perfect sense to offer an all-round pet care service and hence Pet Care Pals came about. With a dedicated team of experienced 'Pet Care Pals' offering a complete Pet Care service and new team members joining on an almost monthly basis, the future is bright for Pet Care Pals.

We do things a little differently than our competitors. We respond very quickly to customer enquiries/bookings. We do not ask for a 'deposit', and if for whatever reason you have to cancel or postpone a booking, in all likelihood, we will apply a 'credit' to your account to be used at a later date. We pay our team members more than our competitors, because we truly value the job that they are doing, and the excellent pet care they provide. This means that our team members stay with us, and this helps to provide consistent care for your pets with the same dedicated Pet Care Pal.
