What do you love most about your job?
Solving problems for customers is the best feeling in the world. Knowing you have made a lasting difference always makes a task worthwhile. Another thing we love is discovering new pests. Bristol in particular is home to many invasive species of insects and spiders, so every new appointment is fascinating.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The pest control industry has been dominated by a few large companies offering bait-only rodent services on rolling contracts. We could see that these caused misery for customers caught in a constant cycle of Bait-Stink-Flies-Repeat and we could see the answer! At least 80% of rodent callouts come from people with faulty buildings or drains. Just like a sieve, if you block the holes nothing can enter or leave - control what's left and that might be the last pest control visit you will ever need.

At Pale Horse Pest Control, our ambition is always to solve a pest problem and not simply control it. We feel this is the most humane form of control and it's a system that tends to save the customer repeated visits in the future, saving both time and money.

We do offer contract rodent control through remote systems that monitor rodent activity on customers' sites, but nothing is as good as the trained eye of an experienced pest controller.
