FELLING & REMOVAL
It is never nice to see a tree completely removed but sometimes it must be done. Trees can become damaged in high wind or become diseased making them brittle, both of which can be dangerous to passers-by. We offer a native sapling to replace each tree we remove.
REDUCTIONS
Reductions are carried out to control the height and width of a trees canopy. A good reduction is the most skillful practice an arborist will carry out and is where our 20 year of experience comes in handy, we are particularly proud of our reduction work.
CROWN LIFTING
Crown lifting effectively raises the height at which a trees canopy starts by removing some of the lower limbs. This may be necessary to allow space for pedestrians and traffic, balance the weight of the crown after wind damage or to create extra space in your garden.
DEAD WOODING
Areas of dead wood, overhanging or dangerous limbs can often be found in otherwise healthy trees. Dead wood is brittle and prone to snapping over time, especially in high winds. Once limbs and dead wood have been removed any balancing of the crown will then be carried out.
POLLARDING
Pollarding is a method of canopy control used on certain species of tree. You will see pollarded Limes and London Planes lining roads in cities and rows of pollarded Willows along river and canal banks. It's a method that creates dense growth and a nicely shaped crown once the tree is in leaf.
HEDGE TRIMMING
All sizes of hedge covered. Trimming, topping and maintenance to make sure your hedge is controlled in size and kept healthy.
STUMP GRINDING
Stumps ground out bellow ground level to approximately one foot. All excess wood chips and soil removed from site.
