We have a very energetic and inquisitive Husky Cross. After trying our pup with a few different dog walkers, we came across Sarah from Ollie’s Ark, and she has been a godsend! It's so hard to find someone who not only knows the breed but also understands the quirks that comes with looking after a rescue dog who’s manners are still a bit of a work in progress. Sarah walks Kota in the daytimes during the week whilst we're at work, and sends updates and lots of pictures after each walk. We are always so happy to know that she is in safe hands and is having a fantastic time out on so many great doggy adventures. I went away with peace of mind and returned to two happy cats who have been well cared for. The photo updates were great to see and it was evident that the cats reacted well to Sarah's visits - even grooming each other, something they never do when I am around! What do you love most about your job?
I have always loved animals and what better job can I have but one that lets me be in the company of animals, ensuring they are content and happy while I am with them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My children are now grown up so I have more time. I have two rescue dogs and 3 cats - this job now allows me to enjoy more time with my own pets as well as provide professional care to others.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am professional, DBS checked and fully insured. I can offer flexibility and will keep in close communication with you regarding your pet's needs. My aim is to keep your pet happy, not to be focused on purely having as many pets as possible on my books. I will be honest with you around availability or any concerns I have regarding your pet.
Dog Walking
Ollie's Ark offers specialised one to one dog walks for dogs who need that extra level of care and cannot cope with large six pack group walks. This may be due to behaviour, age, recovery from surgery or other individual needs. Walks are in our beautiful contryside, heaths and open spaces. They are safely transported in the Ollie's Ark vehicle in cages which vary in size dependant upon the size of the dog.
Walks are a full hour or half hour and the dog is picked up and returned to the home address.
Photos are taken daily and forwarded to the owner later in the day so they can see the fun their dog has had on their walk.
Pet Sitting
Ollie's Ark offers 15 minute pop ins, half hour and full hour pet sitting for your pets. This is offered for all small animals and dogs and can include feeding, playing, stimulation, letting out into the garden, litter changing and giving lots of cuddles!
Photos are taken daily and forwarded to the owner later in the day to show what their pet has been up to!
Pet Taxi
Ever needed to get your pet to the vets and the local taxi services refuse to transport animals? No transport of your own?
Ollie's Ark can transport your pet (and owner) to the vets or groomers or collect from local kennels.
