We are a professional, friendly, family run dog walking business based in the North Tyneside coastal area. We are fully insured, licenced by North Tyneside Council, DBS checked and animal first aid trained. We hold an Ofqual Regulated level 3 qualification in Professional Day Care and Boarding which allows us to achieve the higher standard as set out in the Animal Welfare Regulations.

On the days that I can't be home to walk my dog I have been lucky enough to have found this amazing company. Our main priority was to find the right people to take care of our little pup when we couldn't. After speaking to a number of dog walkers in the area we were so reassured and impressed by the care, attention and professionalism of Mutts About Walking. I was new to the area and found Mutts about Walking through a search. Any fur baby owner is always sceptical about a new walker especially given the social media age where dangers lurk. Wayne was happy to come for a meet and greet at my house to get to know Oscar (my black lab) and give me all the information I needed to put me at ease. I knew after he left that Oscar would be in good hands. He sends me updates after each walk with photos and it always puts a smile on my face. What do you love most about your job?
We love meeting all the different breeds and personalities of dogs and pets, and building a long lasting relationship with them. It provides great job satisfaction to be out in the fresh air, seeing beautiful places around the North East and seeing how truly happy it makes the dogs and what a difference it brings to their day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having grown up with various pets, we have always had a deep love of animals. Having recently lived abroad for a period of time, it was seeing how the animals and in particular dogs were treated especially in comparison to most dogs back in the UK. It was this that inspired us to set up Mutts About Walking as we wanted offer a service that would really make a difference and enchance the life of our most treasured furry family members. We all know the love and happiness our pets give us unconditionally, and we recognise the importance of giving this back to them and how it's the simple things we can do to brighten their day.
Why should our clients choose you?
We will be providing an individual service for your pets, by taking time to get to know them and their personalities. We offer a free no obligation home consultation in order for us to meet you and your pet, and discuss exactly how we can help with your needs and requirements.
Our service enables you to be as involved as you like with your pet's day. We can provide social media updates (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, e-mail, iMessage or text) with photo uploads and feedback on how much your pet is enjoying their time.
We are licensed by North Tyneside Council for Home Boarding and Dog Day Care, fully insured, DBS checked, pet walking and pet sitting certified, as well as first aid trained, so you are safe in the knowledge that your loved ones are being cared for just as much as if you were with them.
When pet sitting, if you are aware for a length of time, we can also help to ensure the safety of your property for example by switching lights on and off.
When transporting dogs in the company vehicle we want to ensure the safety of each dog, so they are secure in their own individual crate.
We never walk more than 4 dogs together, although solo walks are also an option should this be preferred.
Morning Dog Walks
Group dog walks taking place in beautiful places around the North East. Never more than four dogs to one walker. Fully insured, DBS checked, animal first aid trained.
Early Afternoon Dog Walks
Group dog walks and exercise in a fully enlosed, private field. Fully secure all around with a fence measuring more than 6ft. Providing a safe space for your dog to have fun and enjoy exercise while being closely supervised at all times. Fully insured, DBS checked, animal first aid trained.
Pet Sitting
Drop in service for small animals and cats. We can call in up to two times a day to look after your pet when you can't be there with them. Tailored to your needs. Fully insured, DBS checked, animal first aid trained.
Dog Home Boarding
We are fully licenced by North Tyneside Council and offer boarding for your dog in our home. We have a fully enclosed garden, and your dog can join us on our fun group walks and make lots of doggy friends! Fully insured, DBS checked, animal first aid trained.
