What can I recommend about Mindful Dogs?... firstly I’d say MDs are interested in really helping owners with challenging dog behaviours & not just dealing with the fun stuff/little fluffy dogs. Finding a dog trainer/walker willing to take on ‘your problem’ can be tough. Whilst the on line channels can be super helpful, there’s nothing like getting out there, seeing it for real and learning from experience. We have 2 ‘big dogs’ Dog 1. Spaniel/Beagle cross - can be over boisterous / needs to learn to play nicely & respect boundaries & Dog 2. Dobermann (rescue) can be fearful/reactive and overwhelmed by new situations. Paul and Danny have worked with both dogs separately Dog 1 in group work and Dog 2 on a 121. My goal is to get them both off lead safely, running free & having fun. I can honesty say that I feel this is possible now, after my session earlier today at Eastham Woods. Finally would say, taking in a rescue dog can be so overwhelming, Paul is very generous with his time when picking up and dropping off, the advice given has been a Godsend. Feel very lucky to have Mindful Dogs team on the Bromborough patch, they genuinely want to rehabilitate dogs and are interested in the dogs wellbeing....should be commended & recommend percent- don’t think twice, just pick up the phone. You won’t be sorry! More...

We met Paul, Bella and Winnie back in Feb 20 in Storeton Woods to meet a potential 2nd dog for adoption, which we thought would be the best thing for our lovely but extremely anxious Chocolate Lab Evie who went through trauma from an aggressive dog some months before, instead the next hour and a half consisted of Paul giving his own time and professional advice to us and Evie. We got a great feeling from Paul from the start, I loved how he was with Evie and loved his teaching principles, his calm and confident energy tells you everything about his experience. After lock down measures relaxed a little we booked Evie in for the social rehab program, the weeks running up to her program Paul started our training and kept in touch via Zoom to check on our leadership progress as we soon came to understand that our leadership training is just as important as Evie’s training. Evie commenced her rehab week, we noticed small changes straight away in terms of confidence and obedience, she built a bond with Paul, Bella and Winnie instantly, and the particular friendship she built with Winnie really helped her progress and enjoy the experience. Paul kept in touch throughout each day with progress videos, and we met numerous times for walks to learn from his leadership with Evie. The progress we’ve seen from Evie is amazing, she had lots of very proud moments like casually walking past a big dog she would have in the past been s**t scared of and run a mile away from, she’s become more confident off lead and so much better on lead with virtually no pulling now! All in all we feel Paul has gone above and beyond with the support he’s provided us and this support has continued beyond the program we have paid for, nothing is too much for him. Evie has come on leaps and bounds and we are therefore going to be continuing with weekly pack walks with Mindful Dog, we know we will all benefit so much from keeping in touch with the team, plus she gets to keep in touch with some of her new Bezzy’s. Thanks again Paul and the Mindful Dog team. More...

We first heard of Mindful Dog through a close family friend who had seen a massive difference in their dog from the work he put in. We figured it would be worth giving it a go. Pepper, our small but highly strung pooch would either improve through Paul's advice, skills and training or Paul would be handing her back after an hour saying there was no hope. A week social rehab for Pepper has been incredible. Her temprement has massively improved, she's calmer in the house, isn't phased by cars, and is more willing to be social with other dogs - this is down to the hard work and commitment Paul and his team has given us, and Pepper. We never thought we would see the day where we would be walking her off lead and she wouldn't claw at our legs to be carried - it's happened and again all down to Paul. We would recommend Mindful Dog over and over again. We are really please and are looking forward to building our confidence as dog owners through Paul's guidance. 100% fantastic, patient and thankful for his continuous support! More...

Paul came to help us with our pup Dottie who was awful to walk on a lead, was very dominant and reactive aggressive, with the plans put in place by Paul and homework to do, The change in Dottie in such a short time is unbelievable, Paul has even helped with our other dog Freddie lead training , I can’t thank Paul enough for his help and support .

Paul has worked with Layla and myself recently to help with Layla's behaviour towards approaching other dogs as well as helping me to become confident to take Layla for walks off the lead. Layla can sometimes overreact when approaching other dogs and I've always felt too nervous to let her off her lead because I've been unsure how she would react when meeting another dog. Since working with Paul, I have learnt a lot more about Layla's behaviour and feel a million times more confident and relaxed when walking her. This has led me to the point in which I have now taken her out on my own off lead and had a lovely walk with her in Storeton Woods meeting other dogs calmly and correctly. I am looking forward to many more walks to come. I cannot thank Paul enough and would highly recommend him to anyone in terms of helping with becoming more mindful towards their dogs and walks. Paul worked with our Pickle for a week doing behaviour rehabilitation work. I can honestly say that the difference in her energy and attitude around other dogs is completely unbelievable. she is definitely a happier, more settled and content dog too. We are so grateful to Paul for all the amazing work and would highly recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone looking for this service, it's incredible the difference that Paul's knowledge, professionalism, skills and passion for dogs and what he does can do for your pooch. Our walks are now a pleasure thanks to Paul at Mindful Dog....we really enjoyed spending time with him as he's such a lovely guy too!!! 5 stars all the way! More...
