I made my booking well in advance of the move and payed the requested deposit, but when I called to confirm they didn't have a record of the booking. I eventually got that sorted and expected the move to go well, but I got a call from the driver the day before asking if we could move to an earlier time. We weren't able to rearrange for the time he requested and, lo and behold, we got a call in the morning to tell us that their van had been 'stolen'. Left us with no way of moving out on the day of contract exchange and now aren't responding to my calls once I've asked for my deposit back - which I should be entitled to, seeing as they didn't actually do anything and made the day extremely stressful by letting us down the morning of the move. At Midlands removals we offer special rates and discounts for student moves in the Midlands. Countless students have taken advantage of our 10% student discount offer that we have all year round. We also offer group packages for students moving back home at the end of term.
This group package enables a minimum of 2 students and up to a maximum of 10 students to book two men with a van headed for any city out of Birmingham in the UK; this means each student can pay as little as £80 to get their items delivered from Birmingham, Coventry or Leicester to any part of the UK, including Scotland and Wales. The group promotion only applies to part-removals, for full house moves, please refer to the House move page.
Midlands Removals and deliveries can also offer assistance in storage at a 10% discount for any students who would rather hire storage to store their belongings over the summer period: due to the partnership established with the various storage companies in the Midlands. All students should provide ID to authenticate their student status.
Part Move
If it’s a part move you require you need look no further. For all our customers who don’t mind doing a few runs in their car and leave the large items to us, this service is for you! Booking this service saves time therefore saving you money. In most cases, a job that’s meant to take at least 6 hours can be reduced to even 2 hours.
