Martin was recommended to us by a friend who had her landscaping plans arranged by him. We had some ideas ourselves but his input was invaluable. He was easy to talk to and extremely professional in all aspects of the plans. He spent about four hours going over everything. Our plans were with us within a few days. His report was very thorough and included all our requests as well as opening up new ideas we hadn’t considered. We are really glad we used his services. It was money well spent. We have arranged for the work to begin through one of his recommended contractors, who has done work for one of our other friends. Looking forward to enjoying our new garden in the early Summer. We used Martin after he was recommended by the landscape gardener, due to the structural changes that were required for our garden. Our garden consisted of 5 levels (mostly decking). We wanted it all removed and put back to 2 levels with patio/turf instead. Not only did he come up with a solid plan to do that, he came up with ideas we would never have thought of, managed to do it within a tight budget and his ideas will utilise the space so much better. The plan looks fantastic, everything has a function and it actually makes the garden look bigger. We cannot wait to see it come to life when work starts in a couple of months. Martin's been helping us with the design and execution of the works in our garden. With a whole acre to play with, and the need to "hide" 70 tonnes of redundant earth, Martin's been giving us incredibly valuable assistance. From a sloping field, to a useable, smart garden. Simple design looks great, but still easy to manage, exactly what we asked Martin to help us with. Martin helped massively with a steep new garden mud slope.
Taking our brief he created a wonderfully useful terraced design which created play space on 2 levels for the kids, a deck/sun trap area for adults and my favourite bit a wild garden with fire pit for sausage sizzles and melted marsh mallows!

He quite rightly challenged our initial concepts and worked collaboratively with us to deliver the result we craved.
The up front cost for the design was money well spent allowing our family to shape our requirements on our blank, yet muddy, back garden canvas! Resulting in a multi functional, optimised family friendly space.

Martin did a fabulous job on my sister Viv Taylor's garden so I was already interested in enlisting him to help with my ( very different )garden.
I entered his Facebook competition for a laugh before I'd actually contacted him and incredibly I won!!
From the first phone call I could tell that he was highly professional and knowledgeable as well as really friendly and chatty which I think makes all the difference when you're working on a project with someone.
He spent 4 hours at my house, really listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me great advice as to what would work and what wouldn't. He actually managed to persuade me to chop down my huge laurel bush which was the one thing I'd originally insisted on keeping, but his reasoning and initial sketches proved that I was wrong and he was right-there's no substitute for the professional...
He has an obvious passion which really shone through from the start and I'm confident that he'll put in the time and effort to ensure that I'm absolutely happy with the design and that the end result will be amazing.

Very excited about the design concepts Martin has created for our Garden. It was a treat to see our and his ideas brought to life in sketches and then expert drawings full of colour and detail.
We received both great ideas and practical advice on materials and plants always with a budget in mind. Always worth spending time and some budget on the planning!
Looking forward to getting the inside finished so we can get stuck into the outside.

Thanks to Martin we now have a plan to transform our back garden. Martin is very professional in all respects. He came on time and took time to talk and listen to us.
Making suggestions and developing our own thoughts. Nothing was too much trouble.

We have a very odd shaped garden, with lots of different angles, fences, walls, trees, plants etc and we couldn't agree what we should do. Martin came out to see us to help us decide on a lay out for our garden. We had our own ideas, but couldn't agree what we wanted. Martin sat with us and talked to us about options and drew a few things for us to look at, he was picking up on the things we were saying and trying to put them down on paper. He came up with ideas and suggestions that we had not thought about and, (much to my and hubby's surprise and without the disagreements hubby and i had had), Martin came up with a plan that we BOTH immediately went yes i love it. Nothing like what we thought we wanted, but that is the beauty of Martin, he thinks outside the box, listens to what you are saying, and then provides you with a perfect design. We have just covered one of Martin's gardens for Ideal Home magazine and I was very struck by the consideration that he gave to every element of the design. Martin was recommended to me by the company I had chosen to do my garden makeover. Well, I am so pleased I took their advice and contacted him. Martin is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, he listened to my thoughts for the makeover and came up with an outline design. Throughout the process, Martin advised me what would work within my budget, issues that I would not have thought of and provided solutions. Martin responded promptly to our initial enquiry and took time to both listen to how we use the garden and also to survey it. He came up with innovative ideas to join together some different existing features to create a more cohesive look. He discussed the benefits and drawbacks of different options. His design arrived when he promised, and is easy to understand. He took time to come and visit with the contractor that he recommended having already had a meeting with him to take him through the design.
