M Skerritt Decor

As a landlord I have used many painters and decorators over the years. My biggest regret was that I didn't find Michael sooner; although this is entirely my fault! I have always shopped around for the cheapest men to do the job.. BUT what I didn't realise (and this applies to products and tradesmen) you 'buy wrong - you buy twice'. I had my new extension painted by a friend, who called himself a painter, but his work wasn't great. I asked Michael to have a look and he literally shook his head. He asked me if I was committed to getting the job done right, and explained what work was involved. I now understand that it's all about 'prep', which does take time, and hence, costs a bit more to achieve the right finish. He advised me on colours and products I needed and I took ALL his advice. His work is first class! He has made me and the wife unimaginably happy with what he has created. We are completely overwhelmed with his standard of work, I literally sit back and smile as I look at it! I hope I can post some pics on here to show what he has done for us, it really is amazing. Mr Skerritt and his team recently completed exterior decor on our period property which had challenging features both in access and layout . They approached it with care and consideration using their tried and tested system using quality materials with skill and did not rush . They worked in a professional manner respectfully , punctually and proved to be a pleasure to have on the property . We have used dozens and dozens of tradesmen over the course of a big project and we will never get over just how good Michael is. His decorating skills are quite literally second to none. Now, we’re quite far away from Preston, so have tried to find more local decorators, but none have come close to the kind of finish which Michael insists on, so he now travels over to us. A true tradesman who takes massive pride in his work and will give you a finish better than you dreamt possible.It’s also the little things, like cleaning up each day before going home and leaving all paint and tools etc. neatly tucked away. If we could find more tradespeople like Michael, we’d have a much easier life! More...
