I found my property on Rightmove, but it was managed by Let Direct. I enquired about the property and queried to view it. I was able to view online virtually but also in person . The staff were extremely helpful to arrange, and communication was consistent via email and phone. I dealt with Connor and mainly Julie via phone and spoke with Jasmine on email. Viewing was arranged with a time and clear instructions. I attended the property and then made contact the following work day to enquire of an application. Again, very straightforward process and paid a holding fee. I was advised by Julie on the step by step process, provided with all the correct information and kept upto date with delays (due to landlord being on holiday). I was told the news i had been accepted and from there confirmation of tenancy, remaining fee to pay etc. I collected the keys and moved into the property 13/2/23. Staff are just as friendly in person as on the phone/email. Thank you for everything, moving is stressful but you made the first part so not stressful. Another update to review..... Disgusting lived in the house less than 1 year had so many issues now have mold in my bedroom where my 5 year old son sleeps and my partner has severe asthma. All they say is report it on fix flo, no help no compassion and get comments like... A fantastic experience with Let Direct, they were very prompt with helping my partner and I find somewhere to move into. Always polite and quick at answering any questions that you might have. Fantastic engagement and extremely professional. I would not hesitate to find my next home through Let Direct again! However, there is something else I want to share that I think is worthwhile considering too. .. I had need to move sooner than the anticipated date given by my new landlord. There were many preparations still to be done, as well as completing the vetting process. Let Direct could have just made things easy for themselves and stuck to the dates given. Instead of this, Let Direct wanted to work with me, and make my dates happen. They did this by working with all parties involved, and were able to then commit to my dates. This company is very attentive to your needs when trying to get you into the property but as soon as you have a problem they want nothing to do with you, unless they’re after rent. I have been in my place that I am renting with these for coming up 2 months and I have made them aware of a problem on the 5/10/21, in between this time other problems have emerged and when you mention to them about it they ignore you or give you an excuse. I am currently trying to get a shower door fixed and it has been dead silence. Water is pooling out because it a) isn’t sealed properly and b) the shower door itself isn’t big enough to stop water escaping. On top of this there is damp patches, my boiler takes half a day to heat up for hot water and there’s mould all over. I have never in my life had a problem with my skin but since moving here I have burning rashes all over my body and wake up nearly every day feeling nauseous. I have had to take matters into my own hands by getting second opinions and contacting Environmental Health about the situation. I would avoid these to avoid disappointment and to avoid second guessing your mental well-being. More...
