Before I started coaching sessions with Laura I was struggling with my motivation and procrastination in starting my diploma and felt unsure on what to do. I felt lost and lacking enthusiasm to make a start and whether I was doing things in the right way. My sessions with Laura have been productive to help me understand a bit more about my fears and worries. I was able to explore options on how I can move forward and had time to think about what I needed to do. The sessions helped to keep me focused and goal-oriented. Prior to one of our sessions I felt unsure of my next step but after our session I learnt I was making a lot of excuses and that I just needed to get on with it. Which lead to me putting a plan in place and completing my actions which I did and it made me feel a lot more confident about what I needed to do and to break things down into smaller steps. I also learnt I shouldn’t focus on what could go wrong and that it is okay to make mistakes and give myself permission to do that. The sessions have been extremely useful to me. More...

I had signed up to train as a life coach in 2016 and, after two children and the pandemic, finally made the decision that 2021 would be my year to complete the training. I engaged with Laura to coach me into getting off the blocks, and our 6 sessions got me motivated and focused to re-start the process. In particular I needed to advertise that I would be offering free coaching sessions, and my fears about putting myself ‘out there’ and starting a new phase of my career were holding me back. As part of our work together I overcame that anxiety and put in place boundaries to share the information with people who would benefit from the work. As a result of our work together I am now progressing happily through the course, enjoying the flow of being back in the training and completing the tasks set. I am on track to complete the training in October 2021 and the momentum we created has continued beyond our work together. More...

Q&As

Working as a coach and therapist in private practice allows me to not only be my own boss and make my own decisions, but also to help others and make a difference in their lives. There is something really special about the feeling I get when a client has a breakthrough, makes a new connection in their mind, gains and insight or increased understanding and self-awareness. It is a privilege to be able to serve clients and help them to create the lives they want and deserve.

Having had the experience of good and not-so-good workplaces, I realised that it is possible to work somewhere where you feel valued, where you can make a difference, and where you have a real sense of belonging. Too many people dread Mondays and can't wait for the weekend, and I believe that is not how it should be or how it has to be. I changed the focus of my practice onto coaching and working with work-related issues because I want to help companies to do better and individuals to feel better at work.

I have experience as both a coach and a psychologist, and I bring this dual expertise into my work with clients. In my work as a Life and Business Coach and as a Psychologist, I draw on my experience from both fields and can offer a unique perspective because I can look at a situation from a management standpoint as well as from the psychology angle, specifically with mental well-being in mind. This allows me to work very well in the overlap area, helping leaders and managers with their work-life balance or with the development and support for their teams.

Yes, I currently offer all of my services exclusively online or remotely. The initial contact for a discovery call is either by phone or by Zoom, depending on the client's preference. Ongoing sessions are conducted via Zoom.

I have moved my services entirely online, eliminating any risk due to meeting in person. While I hope to be able to see clients in person again in the near future, I offer coaching and therapy services exclusively online at this time.
