I was not happy with the hair and makeup done for myself and my husband. I was given the impression Kathryn was an experienced make-up artist, but I couldn't find any reviews online about this experience.
I had to correct my make-up. As a result, I was late and missed the photography session. My husband's foundation made him look like a ghost. My day was ruined because of Kathryn’s lack of experience in hair and makeup. I have far more quality makeup and hairdressing equipment than Kathryn. She stated working with professionals and are experienced, but there is nothing online available to prove that, and indeed, in my case, she demonstrated a lack of experience.

What do you love most about your job?
There is so much joy involved when working as a Professional Makeup Artist/Stylist and love the physical application of all the makeup textures, tones and colours to the clients skin, and the sheer delight at the simplicity of the process by the client when the completed look is finished. Preparing palettes and changing colour, texture, tones and styles with the seasons is also a part of the job I love to do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business by other professionals in the industry who are working in a self employed capacity quite successfully. So I decided that I could set myself a challenge in more than one area of my work and personal life, setting out a framework to enable me to work in my chosen field was the starting point for my new Business L-IMA Professional Makeup and Hair Specialist Services. Being able to express what I feel is truly a successful makeup application and to develop my own signature style, without the influence of a brand style or trending styles has also been a big motivating factor to start my Business L-IMA Professional Makeup and Hair.

We have a tendency to stick to classical, makeup techniques and styles, with a wealth of premium branded products full of colour, texture and tone to suit your skin type and the occasion you have booked your Makeup Session for, you will have the opportunity to select products alongside your Artist from a full professional kit of Makeup. There is also a Vegan option and we take care to treat the skin before hand to ensure a long-lasting application and the healthy of your skin.
Hair bookings can be added onto your makeup for your comfort, working predominantly with longer hair you will have your hair styled to suit the occasion with no fuss and added boost to the health of your hair with regular sessions. Creating confidence, self awareness and a positive self image for all customers to make an impact and leave behind lasting positive impressions.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Since completing training in COVID-19 safety for healthcare workers I have introduced a short consultation for all clients to complete before their booking. I will ask each client to scan in their details on the NHS Track and Trace QR code in accordance with government legislation. I will be wearing full PPE to each booking including a Mask and Visor, with an option to wear gloves and a cape. All other hygiene, health and safety measures stay in place including sanitising and sterilising products and tools between clients and bring additional disinfectant hand gel and hand wash to each booking for further health and safety.
Wedding: Bridal Makeup Trial
At the Bridal Makeup Trial you will have the opportunity to try makeup on for the first time and discuss your expectations for your Bridal Makeup Look with your MUA, and together arrive at a professional polished Bridal Makeup that will leave you looking radiant at the ceremony and celebration.
The Professional MUA will arrive with a full Bridal Makeup Kit and will help you try on and give advice on which may be the best premium products suited to the occasion.
Working with MAC, NARS, Ben Nye, Charlotte Tilbury and other PRO Brands.
Follow on to book the same MUA for the Wedding Day Ceremony and Reception.
Wedding: Bridal Makeup on the Day
A full application of MUA and keepsake products gifted for the day.
It's your moment, the Wedding Day has arrived and your MUA will arrive with skin care, premium makeup up products and style ideas that will have been finalised before the day at the Bridal Makeup Trial or through the Bridal Consultation Form (contact L-IMA for more details).
The Bridal Makeup session will begin with skin care to prep your skin, the makeup will be applied to your satisfaction using premium brands (NARS, MAC, Inglot, Charlotte Tilbury..) from the Bridal MUA Kit to make you feel self confident, at the Ceremony and Reception.
Kathryn (L-IMA PRO MUA) specialises in applying makeup for Brides and has an aptitude for colour and texture and a skillset to cover most Bridal Makeup Styles from Natural, to Glowing, Radiant and bold Eye looks. Her favourite colour palettes are neutral taupes, rose and dusky pinks alongside warm terracotta colour and texture.
Wedding: Bridesmaids Makeup
A natural makeup with muted colour, coordinated with dress style for each Bridesmaid, to enhance femininity and colour. Soft muted colours and reflective textures on cheeks, lips and eyes will bow to the style of the dress, colour of flowers and compliment the Brides' appearance with a professional finish to the MUA, glowing in photographs and building a natural confidence and positive self image for them to follow the Bride down the aisle.
Using premium professional brands in application, the MUA will conduct a consultation with the Bride and Bridesmaids to determine the MUA style and look for the big day weeks before the event, it is also recommended to book a trial for the Bridesmaids to try out and test MUA products before the big day. Wedding: Mother of the Bride and Guest Makeup
A professional Makeup application, for the Mother of the Bride, a natural makeup with a wash lip and cheek colour and understated eyes, soft muted colour or an option for bold and beautiful textures to be applied to compliment the style of dress and the Bride herself.
The mother of the Bride will appear glowing and confident on the day full of cherished memories to keep for eternity.
A pre booking consultation will be conducted by your Professional Bridal MUA,
and she will introduce you to premium professional brands and contemporary palettes to create the MUA on the day for both the Mother of the Bride or a Guest.
Both are invited to select makeup and direct the MUA application to a desired outcome, with advice and guidance from your Professional Bridal MUA specialist.
Wedding: Bridal Hair Style Trial
Hairstyle ideas for your Wedding Day, try a Bun, Pony or Braided up do, the trial will give you an opportunity to test out and decide on your final look.
With the time to try out wedding hairstyles before the big day, you will have the opportunity discuss ideas with your hairstylist and try out different styles with accessories to determine the final hair style for your Wedding Day.
You may also invite your Bridesmaids to have a hair trial or discuss the final looks to be styled for the Bridesmaids on the day.
From simple Blow Dries, Curling and Straightening to Buns, French Pleats and an Elaborate Up do to compliment the style of your makeup and dress.
Your stylist will work through a pre-trial booking consultation with you to determine your requirements and style ideas.

Wedding: Hair Style on your Wedding Day
Professional Hair Styling Services for you the Bride and your Bridesmaids on your Wedding Day.
At your hair trial or during the pre-booking consultation you will have made the decision with your stylist on the final hairstyle for your Wedding Day, with flowers, a veil or other accessories, all can be arranged to be carried out on the day itself.
Select from a simple Blow Dry, Curl or Straightening Session to a High Pony, Bun, Fresh Pleat or Elaborate Style of your Choice.
Reflexology
Providing qualified (Level 3 VTCT) Reflexology sessions as a holistic natural health practice. An excellent choice for deep relaxation and to naturally recharge you bodies energy systems.
A short consutlation will be conducted to rule out contraindications (when we can not treat you) and to help map out the treatment goals and your expectaions.
Helps to bring balance and homeostatsis into the body, ease stress and tension and naturally aids recovery from illness in mind and body.
