Joining KDS Cardiff has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The club is warm and friendly to new starters and I quickly made some great new friends who support each other with their training and in life and general also. The community in this club really is wonderful! The training is physically demanding, but so rewarding. I’ve seen my physical and mental health transform over the last few years and I’m now stronger and fitter than I ever was before. Finally, it’s definitely worth mentioning that the standard of our instructors is excellent; We have two 5th Dan instructors (highest in KDS) a 4th Dan, and a 2nd Dan also; All of the instructors have their specialities and give you different perspectives when training, and each has supported me greatly in my development thus far. Friendly staff, prices a bit off kilter bottle of becks blue and a half coke £4, wife goes up asks for same £6, didn't know until got home, otherwise i would of pulled it with bar staff.

The access to the function room was limited and so to get from the function room you have to go through the hall into the bar and then into the function room. Wasn't a nice place to be honest.

If I could give this place a no star review then I would, These guys only let you book via their telephone booking, however since December their phone either doesn't answer or goes straight to answer machine. I paid for three months and only got two months because I couldn't book. Gym is outdated anyway I recommend joining Pure gym or just literally any other gym because this one will probably give you the risk of catching tetanus from how old all the machines are More...

Been coming here over 15years, they havent refurbished much in that time so equipment is outdated to say the least, very quite most days and be would lucky to hit 30% occupancy even at their busiest, think some of the staff enjoy it this way as it means less work for them especially the heirachical staff who are probably semi retired and just want to come to work and go home doing as little as possible. Ive tried and throw business their way but if it means a little more work they're not interested so the place must be receiving sudsidies from somewhere without much accountability. The circuits on Monday are a good workout. I enjoy using the pool for a stamina swim but it is not very wide and is full with six or seven people in it. Late evenings or an afternoon on the weekend are the best times to swim . More...
