What an incredible difference Joe has made to us! Our Sprocker, Pip, was chased and barked at as a puppy, leading him to be scared of other dogs, which meant every time he saw one, he would bark at them. Joe’s gentle advice to us on how to help Pip has transformed our walks, from dreading seeing another dog, to being disappointed if we don’t see one! Pip is able to walk past other dogs without any reaction and we even took him to the Ashwell Show on bank holiday Monday, which he loved! With the hundreds of other dogs there, he only barked three times and only because those three dogs came up to his face. We would never have considered going to something like this before his training. The name of Joe’s business is very apt because it is by working together that you get the confidence as an owner to know what to do to help your dog. I first contacted Joe when I was struggling with my Springer Spaniel Elvis. He had just turned 1 and was very disobedient. On walks he would charge off to the other side of the park, take other dogs balls, not come back on the lead and was generally a rule to his own. I’d actually have to rugby tackle him to get him back on the lead!!! I booked 5 sessions with Joe, and we spaced each session out with a couple of weeks in between to give me time to put all of his advice into practice with Elvis each day on our walks. Each time I saw Joe, Elvis had improved and now he is a changed dog. He listens and remains engaged on our walks now and I have no problems controlling him and putting him back on his lead. With Joes help and guidance I now have the most amazing dog. On walks people are actually commenting how well behaved he is. One thing I would say is you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Joe gave me all the knowledge and help I needed (a typical session is going out on a dog walk so he can observe you and your dog) but you really need to carry it on every single day to see any improvements. Joe is fantastic, I can not rate him highly enough. I’ve had a Shepard since 12weeks and he sadly became very reactive to dogs and people, we couldn’t walk him unless it was late and night and early morning, we couldn’t have people round, it was very sad to see our boy like this. We have been using Joe for a few months and he has changed ours and our dogs life majorly. Joe came on walks, observed us as a family and owners, he was very informative and after every session he will message with an update of what was discussed during the session, he will message inbetween sessions to see how we are and if I’ve ever got a problem inbetween sessions I don’t hesitate to contact Joe and he gives advise. This weekend myself and my husband were able to stand less than 2m from another dog with ours just sitting there, before he would lunge, bark and growl at any dog or person. Joe has guided us as owners and explained in full detail what needed to be done. I have used other trainers before Joe and it got to the point we didn’t see how we could keep our boy, then we found Joe and he honestly has helped change our lives as owners and our dogs life. He is now 18months old and will walk past people and dogs (yes sometimes he will still tug towards a dog but nothing like before) if you have a dog with any behavioural issues or just need a trainer contact Joe honestly as I said I used others previously and got nowhere. Joe is just brilliant at what he does! I had completely lost my confidence to walk our young staffie as she had become reactive to other dogs when on her lead. After just one session I felt calmer with the practical advice I had been given by Joe. For our second session Joe helped me to walk both our dogs together, something I had avoided for a long time as I was too nervous, again helping me to understand how to navigate situations as they arose. By the third session Bexlei and myself both felt so much more confident. I have learnt to work with our challenges, cope in complex and busy situations and our walks are much more enjoyable now. Joe would check in with us after each session with a summary of his advice but also check in over the weeks in between sessions so I always felt like I had continued support. The best thing to come out of our work with Joe is that Bexlei’s confidence has improved incredibly. She’s a different dog when it comes to new situations and we can now enjoy our time out as a family. Thank you Joe! More...

After the first session we were given some practical advice to help Roxy to be less anxious and everything Joe told us to implement started to work almost instantly. Joe is absolutely incredible at what he does. He is so patient and knowledgable and has made such a huge difference to our lives since starting training with our Romanian rescue dog Teddy. We never thought we’de be able to have visitors in the house again due to guarding issues and fear aggression, but within 20 minutes, Joe was not only in the house, he was actually engaging with and petting Teddy too! The sessions we’ve had have been full of great advice and Joe has been available whenever we have needed a bit more help. The trust he has built with Teddy over the past few months has been amazing and it has also helped Teddy to trust others too. We really would be lost without Joe. Where do I begin. I came home from walking my northern Inuit huge puppy and swore I’d never do it again! I contacted Joe, explained what my problems were, basically constant pulling, jumping up at people, dragging me across roads, i thought I would die! 3 months later I’m confident to take our boy out for a walk on my own, he listens to me, some days more than others, but the most important thing is I’m no longer scared, I come back home with a smile on my face, I do feel that’s it’s always a work in progress with my dog so will continue to have sessions with Joe for as long as both me and my Lupo need them. We asked Joe to come and help is with our dog Lola. She is very anxious and did not like to be left alone at all. She is also very clingy to my Mum which has meant she has been limited in her day to day life. She loves having Lola with her but sometimes it just isn't practical. Even leaving Lola with me was a problem as she would just pine for Mum. Joe helped us learn how to help Lola with her anxiety. He showed us techniques over a number of weeks which have helped her to be much happier when left alone. This has meant we have much more freedom to just pop out to the shops etc without having to worry. We have seen many changes in Lola which show us how the training ties lots of things together. She is much less clingy and will even go and sit on her own now. I have been able to take her to my flat to stay over without any issues. This always used to be a problem and made life very difficult. Working with Joe has been great, he is friendly and professional and always on hand for advice. It has made such a difference. Of course with any training you get out what you put in and continuing the training inbetween visits has really made things work for us. Since finishing training with Joe we have continued with the techniques he has showed us. Lola is a much happier, more confident dog and this has really made a difference all round. More...

Joe's understanding of and connection with dogs is exceptional. He was able to identify Buddy's problem within minutes of meeting him and has guided and helped us to help Buddy. Joe's kind and empathic approach is supportive and patient with us and he models this behaviour for us towards our dogs. We as owners, are learning new ways of relating to and understanding Buddy and we are delighted with the responses from our doggy. The one to one visits tailored to your needs whether it be at home or to meet in the local park had been fantastic support. Joe is highly experienced, knowledgeable and puts you at ease. He gave feed back after each session and a aim to work to till the next session. He was contactable between sessions if a re-cap or clarification was needed or even just to answer a question. (Had to SOS him one time a puppy was chewing my door frames and nothing was stopping her - he gave me some alternatives to try, which worked) I have recommend his services to friends with puppies and rescue dogs and they have all come back to me and said how amazing he is. Was recommended Joe through a freiend who had used his services and sung his praises highly. I had a 13 week cocokapoo at the time and was so worried about getting everything right. Joe came for a house visit and helped me with some puppy issues we were having. We took her on a walk to the local park and tested her recall ect and from the reassurance I received, Nala now is off leash at the park 99% of the time. Its beautiful to see her running free and playing with other dogs. Im not sure if i ever would of had the confidence to do that without Joes sound advice and truly understanding Nala. Our pup is just shy of 6 months old now and i am sure there will be other issues along the way.. and if and when that time comes I know who I will be calling. Highly recommended to all. Thanks Joe.
