Working with Ian at Just Be More Dog has been so good and easy. I was really nervous at first as I didn’t know if my dog was trainable but Ian made me feel so calm and has reassured me the whole way through. I have seen improvements in such a short space of time and have used the guidance I’ve been given in my own time with my puppy and it’s helped a lot. The communication is instant as well and Ian is always flexible and has been available around my work schedule and he is very generous with his time. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for puppy/dog training. More...

Great, reliable service by true dog lovers. Our dog is always happy to go and chilled when he gets back from off lead walks in the paddocks 😊

We heard about Just Be More Dog through our neighbour. It's a brilliant service lead by a very passionate and knowledgeable team. Rooney (our lab) goes out with the team 2-3 times a week for the morning play session. Which are three hours nonstop play session according to the Whatsapp videos we are sent. We can tell he absolutely loves it and have also noticed a positive change in his behaviour when we take him out for walks too. When I first met the team, the one thing that really stood out to me is how much they clearly love dogs. One of aspect of the service I personally love is that it's an online booking system, very easy to schedule or cancel upcoming walks where needed. Thank you so much Ian, Amy and Rachel, we don't know what we would do without you. More...

Ian was so so helpful when we were training my puppy, he helped us stop her possessiveness and aggression when it came to the oven gloves, taught us the five key training principles, and gave us so many hints and tips for our girl.

I am so thrilled with the care and attention Ian gives to our dog Kaiyo. Kaiyo is straight out the door each week for his walk with Ian and friends, and we love the video updates we get. Ian also was incredibly helpful with some Behavioral issues we had early on, all of which have now been resolved. Highly recommend. More...

Ian and the team have gone out of their way to assess and provide training /supervised play time for me and my dog. Transport and confidence have been big issues, and they have addressed both with success. There's also been good communication and feedback provided on sessions when I haven't accompanied my dog. We had a wonderful experience working with Ian for training our puppy, Milton. The abundance of conflicting information on dog training methods had left us feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.
However, Ian was able to cut through the noise and provide us with clear guidance on the key five commands to focus on.
During those initial days of having a puppy, establishing a sleeping routine was particularly challenging for us. Ian's support and expertise proved invaluable in helping us establish a solid routine and set Milton on the right track. We cannot thank Ian enough for his guidance during this crucial period.
As we continued our training journey with Milton, we also utilised Ian's site to teach him how to interact with other dogs of various sizes. This aspect greatly improved Milton's socialisation skills, and we attribute it to Ian's effective guidance.
Overall, we are extremely grateful for Ian's support and would highly recommend him to anyone facing similar challenges with their puppy. His ability to eliminate training noise, provide clear direction, and offer ongoing support is truly commendable.

I was looking for a person who could help me with my two dogs as my boy has been getting more dog Reactive. I found Ian & Amy and despite people telling me my dogs are to old at 10 to retrain Ian & Amy have done exactly that with patience and understanding they've taught him & me how to read the signs and how to calm him which means im now a lot more confident taking him out and knowing how to react if he does get Reactive. Thankfully he is getting less Reactive and our walks are far more enjoyable. Ian has also helped with his sister who is also 10yrs old as she was very nervous and would often when scared attack her brother now she is getting more confident and is a lot happier .I would definitely recommend these guys they understand and really care about how your dog is feeling . As a young married couple, we'd had dogs for 30 years however because it's over years since our last dog died, we signed up with Just Be More Dog for a refresher and help with puppy training.
Realising the limitations of our age, it's of paramount importance to us to have a well-behaved, well-trained dog that we can enjoy and control without worry in our senior years.
Ian's philosophy and approach to training dogs as well as their owners is modern, scientific, practical and logical, he clearly is a behavior specialist with vast experience. Ian explains the psychology behind his methods which supplements the knowledge we already have from owning several large dogs.
Our twelve-week-old puppy has responded positively from the "get-go" and it's up to us to follow through. Our St Berdoodle enjoys the training sessions which stretch him physically and mentally. We believe this is the pathway to owning a happy, well-behaved, well-trained dog.

I'm a first time dog owner and even though I felt like I'd read everything out there, when we actually picked our 9 week old puppy Ronnie it was all a bit overwhelming so I looked into getting some 1-2-1 training and advice. From the first conversation, Ian has been kind and understanding, and clearly loves dogs. I booked the 3 session puppy course, although its much more than that as Ian has welcomed my (many) questions along the way whenever Ive not been sure on something. The socialisation session with other dogs in particular was amazing. With Ians support I am a million miles forward with my confidence, and I also have a really happy puppy. We will definitely be continuing sessions with Ian and I 100% recommend him if you're in the same situation as I was! More...

The ideas he has suggested are easy to implement, really make a difference and Ian’s easy-going manner is so helpful.
He is kind and very patient and really gives you proper time as he genuinely wants you and your dog to enjoy each other as much as you can.

Ian and Amy have been beyond amazing with my two little ladies. One of them was extremely anxious and borderline aggressive when stressed.
We used to have to avoid all other dogs and it was just too stressful having people over to the house and we’re at a total loss!
However with their help they’re now totally different dogs! Happy off the lead in the dog fields playing with other dogs and unbothered by new people coming into the house now too.
They’re like totally different dogs and it really is all because of their help! Could not recommend them highly enough!

Ian has been a God send. It’s all very well reading up on the matter of dog training (& there are literally hundreds of different views) but seeing how to put it into practice with timing and being given confidence to do so by Ian has been great. He’ll help you focus on any problems you need to solve and tailor them to your dog and situation with the appropriate approach (which will vary), learning to train without force and adapting to what you yourself are capable of or what will help your “style” e.g. clickers or not. He is is very helpful with advice between sessions as well. Ian is very friendly, clearly understands dog behaviour, loves dogs and gives you the tools to help work with your dog in the best way. He’s also helpfully flexible in terms of where and when to meet. 100% recommend him! More...

We reached out to Ian after numerous stressful walks with our 1 and a half year old dog. Out of nowhere, our friendly bouncy boy had suddenly become aggressive towards other dogs on the lead, walks were becoming unbearable, and we were resulting to only going out very early or late to avoid other dogs.
We knew this couldn’t continue so we reached out to Ian.
He was brilliant and calm with a wealth of knowledge, he worked with not only our dog but also with us, explaining how our behaviour can affect these situations and helped us to build back the confidence we had lost. No question was too big and he even gave advice on other areas such as jumping and barking.
Ian checked in over a few months so see progress giving advice online and during private sessions which helped build our confidence. We have booked Be More Dog for a refresher session as well !
Thank you Ian and Be More Dog for the help and we highly recommend.

Dog Walking
Walking your dog is a one of the essentials of dog guardianship, but we realise that in a hectic world it is often necessary to get some regular support in walking your dog.
“We have many years of experience in walking all kinds of dogs from pups to older, tiny to extra large and importantly matching up their temperaments to make sure they have a fun and fulfilling time.”
Our dog walkers are all professionally trained and licensed in accordance with local authority guidelines.
In addition all our dog walkers have regular in-house coaching sessions with our dog behaviourist to promote continued professional development.
Dog walks are arranged with you, we offer individual and group walks, with groups no larger than 4, so that there is dedicated attention given.
Calming Dog Pack Therapy
Dog on Dog aggression is always scary for our dogs and for us.
Much dog on dog aggression is triggered by her stress and fear of a situation and her inablity to communicate how she is feeling in a way that other dogs understand.
It is an incredibly stressful time for a dog and it is the point where they can no longer cope with that extreme stress they will either flee, freeze…or fight.
There is much we can do to help this situation for your dog and for you.
“It will take time, patience and an open mind but by taking a mutli-faceted approach to working with the problem we will be able to help “
At the right time in the process we will introduce our Calm Pack Therapy sessions over a period of weeks and months.
In essence our Calm Pack Therapy is for dogs that are scared of the situation they find themsleves in and they do not yet know how to cope with this extreme stress.
We will introduce your dog to a small pack of especially calm and non reactive dogs at a pace that your dog will dictate.
She will work out for herself that her fears are unfounded and then start to learn from our calm dogs how to behave and react. Progress can be quick or take longer but as with us humans the only pace is the pace she can handle.
This is a key part of the process of building up self confidence and learning to commincate better with their own species.
Pricing
Single sessions are £70 for 45 mins
Calm Pack Therapy Programme
This is a bespoke programme designed for dogs that are struggling in dog on dog situations, normally culminating in shows of aggression.
It is jointly carried out by Ian Karbaron (qualified Dog Behavioiurist) and Amy Scott.
Our goal is to desensitise a socially awkward dog by meeting a new and specially selected calm pack of dogs, at a pace that the fearful dog can cope with. We increase the interaction and bring in new dogs together slowly. This will increase their resilience to a stressful situation and enable them to learn for themselves that they can cope and hopefully enjoy dog to dog interaction moving forward.
Safety of all the dogs and guardians is paramount and we make sure that appropriate equipment is used and a safety first approach guides our approach and pace of work.
This package comprises of:
5 sessions lasting 30 mins., typically at week intervals .
Price starting from £300 is payable for this package.
