Location is probably the best feature, bed was very comfortable with crisp clean bedding- pretty much, your basic necessity met and all the staff we encountered were delightful. However, the general state of the room I had could use some attention. First thing that struck me was an unpleasant odour, musty? Cracked tiles on bathroom floor; toilet kept running for about 20mins after flushing; carpets seen better days; no bar fridge, no bottled water or even a basic biscuit to have with your tea/coffee. Bottom line - I wouldn’t not recommend, but if you’re looking for something more than location and the basics you may be disappointed. More...

Overall visit was fine. Desk personnel were excellent and very helpful. However, dinner on our last night was horrible. Food was not good and service was even worse. Jurys Inn what can I say. I stayed here for a week in March and loved this place. The best thing about Jurys is the awesome location. Right across from from the Waverley train station and a convenient close right behind it that leads to the royal mile. Take the #100 bus from the airport that runs 24 hrs to the train station and a less than a five minute walk to Jurys. Second best is the comfy bed. I had a single and double and slept on the single because was so very comfy. I only had breakfast here once and chilled at coffee bar twice and it was good. The food was good, not amazing but everything was good...the "bangers" were amazing though. Good coffee too. Now I spent the days out, so this was more of a crash pad...or stay up and watch British game shows lol. Warwick Davis hosts a game show! Awesome! The Jurys is in need of makeover and I understand they are scheduled to have one. No usb in my room except for the one on the tv which has to be on to charge. Bring a Europe charger. Like I said, it's in need of a makeover, but it's not dirty. I actually found the blue tile and porcelain sink in the bathroom quite retro and charming. Yeah, some peeling paint here, a touch of water bloated wood trim there....not even an issue with me, it was clean. The housekeepers were definitely on it. My room was cleaned everyday with a fresh bottled watered....which was not even necessary because the tap water in Edinburgh is better than any bottled water....seriously. They even straightened out my bags of schwag I had on the full size bed. The staff up front and the young man who checked me out a 0300 were all very professional and kind. Great WiFi. The Jurys is exactly what I needed for a good internet hotel/flight bundled price. I was in Edinburgh by myself as a single guy, so I'm not needing four star. I am coming back to Edinburgh next year and will absolutely stay at Jurys again. Just a side note to Edinburgh, what an amazing city. Great location but very basic. Room not quiet but I suspect the closeness to city, train and action makes quiet difficult. No bar fridge to keep anything cold. Bathroom very shabby and in need of painting. Here for 3 nights which will be tight. Everything in Edinburgh is pricey so this was affordable. Parking nearby. More...

We’ve just had a lovely stay at Jury’s Inn Holborn in London last Easter.We think this hotel has a perfect location, a good price and the delicious brealfast. But in our opinion if we had to choose one thing in this hotel, it’ll be its the most amazing staff it has … The staff is the most friendly people I've ever met in a hotel, specially the three men who keep the luggage in the morning. The staff had done our lives easier because the solved any doubts we had about the city ... My partner became very unwell while we were staying at the hotel. We were worried as our wedding was in only 5 days and he was so sick. The hotel helped to arrange for a very late checkout so that my partner could rest in bed until the airport transfer and also helped us with medical advice. They were thoughtful, caring, understanding and showed great compassion. This was at New Years Eve for Hogmanay also, which is a peak time... but that didn't matter as the staff were still friendly and as accommodating as they could be.
