We bought a house with a pretty but wonky patio, which was pooling water badly against the house. There were also concrete steps blocking the subfloor ventilation bricks which needed to be opened up. Jon suggested removing the steps and installing ACO drains around the back of the house. The JPS team completed the work with 2 days whilst also keeping their work very neat and tidy. I highly recommend this building company. We have recently had an extra room built in our waiting room. As we are a doctor's surgery Jon arranged for the work to be carried out on a weekend to avoid disruption for the patients. The work has been done to a high standard and finished quickly. JPS undertook an extension of my kitchen into my garage. A small number of unforeseen issues arose during the works. Jon was very helpful in suggestions as to how the issues could be constructively addressed whilst ensuring that costs were kept as low as possible. I've never had any building work done before. We have had JPS build us a garage, feather edge the property and put together a really strong gate to close it all off. Jon and the team were amazing the whole time, very friendly bunch and even starting a little later than they wanted due to my other half being pregnant and sleep deprived. We have used this company several times for building work and renovations. This time it was for some custom cupboards and shelving for a home office. We had JPS build our extension and fitted new guttering around the entire house. There was an unexpected problem when a well was found. Jon took this in his stride, arranged for structural engineer and cardiff planning to find the way forward. All was resolved with hardly any delay to the project. We had a complete garden makeover from JPS and are thrilled with the results. I highly recommend this building company. Owner Jon Sainsbury was very prompt in offering a quote for work needed on a rental property in Heath, Cardiff, that had been damaged by fire. His teams completed the work quickly, with consideration for the tenants, while the quality of work was of a high standard. Jon also communicated promptly. We began planning an extension to our 60 year old property in Cardiff in March of this year. From quotations and discussions with 5 local builders we chose JPS Carpenters and Builders Ltd. Largely because of the professional attitude of Mr. Jon Sainsbury and his advice re planning, building standards requirements and recommendation of an Architect. All the paperwork was taken care of and work<span id="moreReview664751" class="hide"> commenced at the end of May. The extension to our kitchen was complicated by the need for a completely new electrical system and the need to move the position of the front door to the house and the need to widen the entrance hall. <br /> All this was completed on schedule before the end of July. The standard of work met every detail laid down by the Architect and any detailed modifications requested by us as work progressed were met with agreement and rapid response. We are delighted with with the seamless addition to our old kitchen and also with the appearance to the front of the house occasioned by the new roof and front door porch arrangement. The soffits at the front of my little house were secured and capped with upvc by Jon's company, I was relieved to be able to trust them to do it in my absence due to family commitments. I wasn't disappointed, the job was done well and looks great.<br />Jon's team then hand built a beautiful fence down one side of my garden, it's exactly what I asked Jon for & is a complete work of art.
