Joe and his team were excellent in every aspect. We wanted all our old decking, to be removed and then block paved to fit in with surrounding area. Joe arrived at exactly the arranged time, to view the area and gave us a very reasonable quote straight away. Whilst we weren’t entirely sure what we wanted, Joe came up with some brilliant suggestions. One of which was a concealed drain cover, that would blend in with the pattern. We loved his can do approach and straight away booked a slot for the work to be done. His absolutely fantastic team, arrived as arranged and worked amazingly hard on a very hot day, to clear and prepare the area. Always cheerful and polite, they returned to complete the job. We were so delighted with the work, we asked Joe to do another job for us. We’re equally delighted with that too. I would just add, that they moved all our heavy garden pots from the area, without any moaning and put them back after they finished. Plus they cleared up all remaining mess, making sure we were completely happy. A bonus thank you for that. February 2023: Because Joe and the gang from IDEAL DRIVEWAYS in Norwich carried out some lovely work at our home three years ago, we asked them back to carry out further work at our home in Caister-On-Sea Norfolk. My wife and I could not be any happier with the quality of their work and the politeness, respect and professionalism shown by Joe, his father Larry and all the 4/5 staff they had around our home for a continuous 7-day period. While there and first of all, they totally transformed the front and side of our property by replacing tired-looking stone shingle with beautiful fresh mixed coloured brick-weave paving, even adding a few bespoke swirl patterns at our request following on from their expert advice. Around the back of the house they then replaced the old muddy grass with beautiful coloured slabs, adjoining onto a lovely area of freshly laid artificial lawn. Our driveway needed replacing and we wanted a resin bound drive since it is porous so no drainage issues. Joe quickly sorted out the quote and came in as the middle quote of the three we had. The previous reviews we saw online tipped the balance in favour of going with Ideal Driveways and I am pleased we did. The crew arrived and in now time had removed the old concrete drive and started to lay out the new pathway. It became clear there had been some slight misinterpretation but this was quickly spotted part way through day one and remedied without delay. The crew were always polite and courteous and were incredibly hardworking not even stopping for the odd rain shower we had. Some of the roots they needed to remove proved to be very stubborn indeed which was hard work as given the space the ground needed clearing by hand. We allowed ourselves to be persuaded into an extension to our patio to link the two up. I am glad we did as it has finished off the job really well. Once laid and cured we had some heavy and persistent rain there was no evidence of puddling on the resin bound driveway or path whatsoever. The driveway and path meant dealing with slopes in two or three directions all of which was done to give us gentle slopes that merge seamlessly into each other. This will make getting the bins and our bikes out considerably easier. We almost didn't want to spoil the pristine driveway by putting our mucky cars on it, almost! Absolutely amazing! They did all this work in a week, it’s great quality and great value for money! They talked me through each step which was great, they provided great ideas because I didn’t really have a clue, and didn’t pressure us at all like some other places tried. Joe and his team were brilliant. From the start Joe helped plan and design the driveway. Nothing was too big or small. We had a large driveway and we were not sure what we wanted doing but Joe came a visited and talked about options, showing us pictures, designs and talking though pricing options. They were very reasonable prices and couldn’t be beaten. All the lads were on time every day and cracked on. Such amazing work ethics from all. I’ve never witnessed such hard work for hours on end. I can’t praise the work of Ideal Driveways enough! They worked non-stop, within a quick time frame, arrived early and continued all day. The quality of the work is really neat and has been installed brilliantly. All queries were checked with me throughout the project, so I felt in control of the process which was great. I am normally a very patient person. But this has turned out to be a nightmare for me when I had my driveway done through Ideal driveways. The initial impression I got was of a good job but then I realized a problem when there was lots of water on the driveway it started seeping up through my exterior walls as my driveway was raised so high to the level of internal house flooring covering my damp proofing lining outside. We are delighted with the work that Ideal Driveways Ltd have carried out for us. Joe and his team have transformed our tired looking drive which was a combination of a shingle parking space for our motorhome and slabs/shingle leading to the garage. The whole area is now tarmac and framed with a brick edging which has enhanced the look. They also did some landscaping on our front garden which we are pleased with. This job has turned out so much better than I imagined, we had a plan of the design we wanted which Joe fine tuned to give a nice flow to the overall finish. A special mention for Ali and Yuseff who were friendly and polite whilst working in the hottest weather we have had so far this year. Driveway, brick-weave & paving to front of house.
A huge big thank you to Joe & his team. This week they gave the front of our detached house/driveway a makeover & revamp! Throughout the two full days they were with us Joe & his boys were excellent. They were all very polite & professional & couldn’t do enough to please us. They totally revitalised our tired brickweave driveway, as well as removed old existing & uneven paving replacing it with new paving -all-on-one-level & joining it to an existing shingled area which they also enhanced. We had our own ideas but Joe’s were so much better so we went with his suggestions & are so glad we did!

I posted a job for paving my driveway on Bark and had several companies and work men coming over and giving me quotes , I met Joe Rooney from ideal driveway LTD and after along discussion I found him very knowledgeable , professional and very friendly the minute we started talking about what I wanted I knew that he will be the man to do the job and what a great decision we made, He gave us an excellent price in fact it was the best quote , we agreed to the time scale , he also showed us the different stages of work laying the membrane , sub base and sand and types of paving , the price included doing the drains replacing the old one into the trendy recess ones and rain channels edging. The quote included removing all the rubble which was extra for other quotes. we browsed his brochure and selected a brick colour and patterns. We agreed to start 3 days later and 8.00 am he arrived with his team they removed the old damaged and unsightly concrete (by the way I have a large driveway ). I was impressed by the team they did hardly stop working only for lunch and a coffee. When I compare their productivity to a couple of builders I had to do renovation work, I was very happy as they delivered a very good finished product in a short amount of time. The drive way was done so well and we were so impressed with the quality and standard of work that I asked Joe to give me a quote to do my back garden patio and walkway, which was a French garden. Again I struck gold and the work included a lot of precision cutting of slaps , which was executed with perfection. What impressed me is that his team are so proud of the work they do and in the process will always ask us if we liked it and accepted feedback very well, I had to write a long feedback which I don't usually do but as we were so impressed with the calibre and standard of work I felt I should. We had so many compliments from neighbours and friends and everybody was so impressed with the finishing ,
