What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in practice and industry, I learned very quickly that SME and self employed businesses do not have the accessibility to a detailed bookkeeper analyst on tap. Its vital to know what and how your business is performing on a monthly or quarterly basis at least. Waiting a whole year to see your accounts is unhelpful.

Bookkeeping
This is our specialty and everything else about a prudent business stems from double entry bookkeeping. It is the spine of any record keeping which determines the trajectory of any business. It is from this that all others follow including, cashflow, management accounts, financial accounts, etc. Excellent bookkeeping is necessary, and we pride ourselves in this.
Management Accounts
This is a set of summarised assumed accounting data which shows the businesses balance sheet, cashflow, and income statement prepared and usually presented every month or quarterly specifically for business decision makers. The objective of management accounts is to provide timely and key financial and statistical information required by managers to make day to day and short-term decisions. This involves comparing assumed or estimated accounting data against actual monthly or quarterly revenue and expenditure. This way we can look at variances and track if the business is performing as expected.
Final Accounts
This involves preparing and filing statutory company financial accounts and tax returns to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Companies House. If you are a sole trader or self-employed then we assist with filing your personal tax return or partnership accounts to HMRC. Failure to do so before your deadline incurs a penalty issued by HMRC. This penalty can be costly.
VAT
Where applicable we prepare and file Making Tax Digital (MTD) VAT Returns. We consider if your business may fall within compulsory VAT registration threshold.
We also look at how voluntary VAT registration may benefit a business.
Payroll
Payroll is the process of pay management. As an employer operating PAYE as part of your payroll, you need to complete certain tasks during each tax month. You must tell HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) if you have not paid any employees in a tax month.
The involves reporting employee wages and tax obligations to HMRC for the business and on behalf of employees. It is an important aspect of any business and is highly likely to be the largest overhead.
Should you wish to bring your payroll in-house or outsource your payroll duties, we cater for this too.
