Set within the Derbyshire countryside, yet minutes away from the A50 and A38, is our doggy day care centre. With 2000sqft indoor and over 3000sqft secure outdoor play areas, we've something to suit everyone, whatever the English weather!
We are open Monday- Friday 7.

From our experience, certainly not the type of business that should welcome large breed dogs. They were dishonest, untrustworthy and severely lacking in understanding basic dog behaviour.
Unfortunately Happy Hounds felt the need to make up lies about our dog - which were very upsetting and we really don't understand how anyone who truly loves dogs could do this.

My dogs cant wait to go every morning. Highly recommend!!! More affordable than dog walking services and for longer care. I tried kennels before this, different home care etc and my dogs were that stressed but from day one at happy hounds my dogs cant wait to go . I know there getting all the fuss they need and now i don't feel guilty that i don't have the time to fuss them. More...

My Darcy loves happy hounds and i cannot thank Tara and her team enough including Lola. Darcy loves going playing and gets to meet other dogs that being an only dog she would not normally do. If you need your puppy or older dog looked after and carted for while you are out for the day or at work I would highly recommend Happy Hounds at the moment Darcy goes twice a week but I am think of upping an extra day as she missing going so much. Daisy has been going to Happy Hounds 3 days a week since it opened. She absolutely loves it, she gets to spend time with other dogs of different ages and breeds so it's great for socialising. Our new puppy has been coming here for 3 weeks now. We were at apprehensive at first but the staff are fantastic, friendly and helped to ease any concerns that we had, more importantly Baxter loves to go and has made many puppy friends.

My boy Charlie started the very first week Tara opened and he absolutely loved it. He was shattered when he came home but in a good way. There is plenty of safe space to play in and toys and obstacles to keep the dogs entertained. Tara is brilliant with the dogs and the rest of the staff are lovely too. Very professional set up. The staff took their time to introduce themselves and more importantly took the time to introduce our puppy into a new and, to her, strange environment. Playing with dogs all day! Watching nervous/aprehensive dogs grow in confidence as they play
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having my own dog and loving spending time with her and watching her play. No facilities of this type in the South Derby area
