We cover Pensions, Final Salary Pension Transfers, ISAs, Investment Advice, Inheritance Tax Planning, Long Term Care Planning, Protection, Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, Company Pension Schemes, Auto Enrolment, Shareholder Protection, Director's Pensions, Key Man Insurance amongst other matters.
PLEASE NOTE: Whilst we can offer advice on defined benefit/final salary pensions we are unable to do so for clients under age 50. Likewise, fi you wish to transfer out of a DB scheme and then to manage the monies yourself, we would not be willing to deal with you either, as we have no control over the investment strategy being adopted and that is too large a risk for our business.
I believe our clients should be at the forefront of our minds in everything we do and that we should strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for them each and every time we do work for them, rather than thinking about what would be in our best interests.
If you always do what is best for the client you will build a strong and mutually beneficial relationship, and this is one of our main goals. We strive to offer the best client experience we can which means only doing what is right for the client, even if that means we tell them to do nothing. It is not worth denting our reputation by acting any other way, as we rely on word of mouth to build our business.
Our company has been built on solid roots and has been trading in its current form since 2000, but has its origins further back than this before the merger to its current name as it has grown and evolved over many years.
We have city centre offices making it convenient for our clients to visit us, but we are also happy to meet them at their home if that is their preference. For those clients who cannot meet during office hours I am willing to meet them out of office hours either at our offices or in their own home.
We have a very competitive charging structure, and our record of strong investment returns from our portfolios is something we cherish. Whilst future returns cannot be guaranteed to be as good, we have a robust investment process and can show clients historic performance data for comparison purposes unlike many IFAs who have an ad-hoc process for every client and therefore cannot show the returns clients have actually achieved historically.
I strongly believe in being very highly educated so that I can do the best job possible for my clients, no matter what career I choose.
I previously worked in Engineering and achieved a 1st Class HONS Degree from Strathclyde University, and finished up with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering & Applied Optics having authored various patents, and having run my own business.
When I moved to financial services I again believed that it was crucial that I educate myself to the highest levels, if I was to be dealing with a client's finances that they have sweated hard to accumulate. I believe it is very remiss not to ensure you have the best knowledge possible when advising clients as that is how more appropriate solutions can be missed.
I achieved the gold standard in our industry of Chartered Status in the minimum timescale possible, namely 5 years from the day I joined the industry, as that is the minimum level of experience you need on top of the extensive examinations required, as you will see from the list below.
I also achieved Fellowship status on that same day, and this is the standard above Chartered, and is a qualification which only a very small percentage of the IFA community hold. You can therefore be rest assured that I have the highest standards of technical knowledge and will apply this to any advice I give.
