I didn’t think I would have to write a bad review considering the recommendations I had been sent for Dom, however I really can’t recommend this company at all. First of all, Dom was due to turn up on Monday the 21st of Jan to fit our ring doorbell, after waiting all day I messaged to ask why he hadn’t turned up or messaged me. Dom advised that he did message to say that the parts hadn’t arrived.. and that he must have forgotten to send the message, so we rebooked for the Friday of that week. We confirmed 8.30am on the Friday, Dom turned up just after 9.30 and didn’t bother to message to say that he was running late, I wouldn’t normally mind but as he didn’t turn up at all the first day, this was pretty irritating for my partner who had to rearrange a work meeting to be available at that time. Dom came and did the work, which was fine, but that evening the doorbell completely stopped working, I messaged Dom and did everything he mentioned, as well as what the ring doorbell website advises, and it still didn’t work, there is no power to it at all. I like to think that perhaps this is a faulty doorbell, but since Dom hasn’t been back to check we can’t confirm whether it is that or the actual wiring. Dom said he would pop up the following week to take a look, we were conscious it was a Friday evening so said to get back to us after the weekend. By Tuesday afternoon we had heard nothing, so I chased it up, Dom advised he could pop up on Thursday, I advised the following evening the times that we could do on the Thursday, and also advised of the times we could do on Friday (which was all day.) I got no response to this message despite it showing that Dom had read it, I then sent a follow up message the next day asking when he would be around, or if Friday worked, again Dom read this and didn’t respond. The doorbell was bought for security purposes, and as someone who works from home and has clients on a regular basis to the house, it is very irritating to not have a working doorbell in a 3 storey house. This is incredibly poor customer service, and as someone who is self employed I would never dream of just ignoring a customer, especially if there was an issue, no matter how big or small the job was. I absolutely do not recommend this company, and noticed that there is another review that mentions punctuality too. More...
