What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Being clear in your mind the image you want, and using all the tools at your disposal to achieve it: nine times out of ten available light will give you what you want if you know how to use it. If not, use anything you can to help - you need to know how to use a flash when necessary - but use your imagination, and whatever's to hand. Having said all that, be prepared to grab a fantastic image if it presents itself: always have your eye on whats happening around you, and don't miss an opportunity
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Apart from 'what's the budget?', it would be 'what do you want these images to say?'; 'who are these images for?' and 'how will you want to present them?'
What do you love most about your job?
I love making images: I'm always making images, or thinking about making images. I love it when I get paid to make images
What inspired you to start your own business?
The thought of being paid to do what I love, and concentrate on improving my image making
Why should our clients choose you?
I don't stop until I get it right, but I make it fun as well: I include the clients in the process of image making - I get better images if they feel involved
