We have used Extra Help for their fitness services and I am amazed at the results they have achieved with my son so far. My son as Asperger’s and mental health issues and didn’t exercise or have any motivation at all. He needs to lose about 3 stone to be healthy.
To make an impression and motivate someone with Asperger's syndrome is a challenge in itself. Mark understands him and he actually listens. At this rate he might be able to come off his antidepressants due to feeling mentally and physically better.
I can't thank you enough for your understanding and tailoring his diet and exercise plan to suit Tom.
Person-centred training is what you get.

I contacted Extra Help as I was finding it impossible to get my mum shopping deliveries during lockdown and we were both worried about her going to the supermarket. As she lives on her own, and I live some distance away and am shielding, I thought I'd look into getting her some home help instead.

I spoke to Mark who explained how Extra Help work, and then he called my mum to introduce himself and he arranged to visit her in person the following day to go through things with her and get the paperwork completed. All sorted in less than an hour.

I then had the opportunity to speak to Joanne, the lady who would be helping my mum, to discuss my mums needs, likes and dislikes. She was lovely and really 'got it' in terms of the best way to support my mum, who was understandably quite apprehensive about a stranger coming to her house and receiving home help services for the first time.

However, after Joanne's first visit my mum said she was 'brilliant'. She gets my mums shopping and then helps with any household tasks she might find difficult to do on her own, and has a chat and a cuppa with her. What is important, and really good, is that Joanne lives locally to my mum and they have things in common to talk about and my mum enjoys her company.

Both Joanne and Mark have kept in touch to keep me updated, which is reassuring. I'm so glad that I contacted Extra Help, they have helped keep my mum safe during the pandemic, and also provided her with just the right amount of company and support to help her feel less vulnerable. This means she can carry on enjoying her very independent lifestyle without having to worry about managing little things she finds harder to do on her own, and I feel reassured that she is in good hands.
