I had been seeking a 3 bed property for my family in Hertfordshire since Autumn 2019. Viewed many properties via local franchised and independent estate agents in Welwyn Garden City. Whilst some estate agents seemed helpful at first, i did find the communication somewhat lacking during making multiple offers on the same property when a few parties started bidding frenzies. Post lock-down, we started viewings again and it was a similar scenario with a lack of helpfulness and understanding from certain agents. Their mission statement sometimes felt as though it was to host as many buyer viewings as possible rather than look after and understand the needs of a certain few serious buyers. The home i finally saw and made offers on was with Ewemove and Chris Wells. Initially I made the offer first thing in morning before viewing the property (after having lost out on many in previous weeks) on a home in WGC which had come on the market that same day. However, Chris advised to view property then make an offer after work that same evening. At the viewing Chris was helpful and listened to my story and post viewing i made an offer. In the end our final offer was accepted and my family were very pleased with the service provided by Ewemove. Chris went out of his way to make a call late into the evenings and not the usual 5pm to keep me updated of offers and seller queries. Starting with the online description of the flat, where they put some effort to let you know the most intricate details in advance. My first experience with Ewemove was to enquire about a property I’d seen on Rightmove, I spoke to Matt Bowyer who was very knowledgeable and spoke with enthusiasm about the property. We discussed what I was looking for and he emailed me a couple of virtual tours, the following day I viewed one of the properties even though it was a Sunday, Ewemove accommodated my request to do this. I met Matt at the property who showed me round, he was able to answer my questions and had knowledge of details such as how long the lease had left to run and told me the best routes to take as I was new to the area. Although I was his last appointment of the day he told me to take as much time as I needed. Matt Bowyer was our agent who was available any time of day, he made a real effort to get to know about our property so he could sell it effectively. He was always polite and professional and created urgency with the sale which resulted in an offer of the full asking price being received 48 hours after it went live on Rightmove Matt liaised effectively throughout the sale process, acting as a useful mediator between solicitors and buyers/sellers. He even was present on moving day where he got stuck in hoovering the empty rooms and helping us load and off load the removal van.
