How long have you been in business?
I have been a self employed cleaner for six years, with eleven years experience. I am also CPD qualified.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
I bring my own cleaning supplies with me on every clean including my mop and bucket and a steam cleaner where possible. The steam cleaner can only be used on tiled and sealed flooring. I find supplying the cleaning products is very beneficial to my customers.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to take something from grime to shine, to see the transformations. I am passionate about cleaning and giving my 100% best to every clean. It is extremely rewarding knowing that you are helping people, that you are putting a smile on people's faces.
I have cleaned for people who are physically unable to clean their house themselves, who are suffering emotionally because cleaning is too bigger job for them. To see their faces once I have cleaned their home, to know they are happy with the result, is an amazing feeling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to work in an industry that would be rewarding. I am a very independent person, so cleaning works well for me. I like to be able to have a mixture of work each week, which this produces. It keeps work varied and enjoyable.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I follow the current Covid guidelines. This includes wearing a face mask upon entering the premises, wearing the appropriate PPE and keeping the 2 meter distance. Preferably working in an alternative room to you.
Since the pandemic, I have invested in a floor steam cleaner, which kills 99% bacteria. This is great on tiled, laminated and sealed flooring.
Between each clean I make sure that my mop and bucket and any equipment used is bleached and thoroughly cleaned.
I make sure that I follow all guidelines provided by the government. This also includes checking prior to each clean, that the customer is free from symptoms and hasn't come into contact with anyone who has been officially diagnosed with Covid.
The Gov website explains: "Where it is necessary for you to work in other people's homes, for example, for cleaners, you can do so."
I want to make sure that all my customers feel safe with my cleaning procedures at this difficult time.

Deep Cleaning Service
A deep clean is a service that I can perform for your domestic premises, office or any type of commercial property including B&B’s, End of Tenancy Cleans and New Builds.
This type of cleaning service is usually performed on a one time basis, a yearly, a 6 monthly,
a monthly basis or as and when required, for example End of Tenancy Cleans. Please refer to the ‘End of Tenancy’ criteria to see what is involved.
A deep clean includes:-
- Dusting of ceiling, light fittings, shelves, picture frames, ornaments, skirtings. All surfaces.
- Cleaning the light switches
- Cleaning inside windows, frames & sills
- Cleaning blinds & shutters
- Cleaning banisters, dado rails & edgings
- Cleaning interior doors
- Vacuuming sofa’s
- Cleaning kitchen worktops, tiles, sinks, inside & outside of cupboards/drawers, extractor fan, hob & microwave (excluding the oven)
- Bathroom/shower suites, removing Limescale
- Vacuum & mop hard floors
If there are any other specific requirements, I am happy to discuss these with you.
To provide you with an accurate quote, I will arrange a suitable day and time with you to view the property, to discuss your requirements and assess the amount of work involved.
This will also be a time to discuss any questions or queries you may have.
Following the visit, I will send you an email detailing all cleaning that will take place and provide you with a fixed price for the works.
Commercial Cleaning
Depending on the type of commercial property, generally each commercial property will have a kitchen area, toilet/s and meeting rooms.
Commercial properties I clean can include offices, village halls, hospitality premises and veterinary properties.
I can perform a regular clean either once to five times a week on your commercial property.
It all depends on the specifications that you require. I can adapt my cleaning to fit your requirements. At the end of the day, if the job isn't gleaming then it hasn't been cleaned!
You may choose to have a deep clean performed every six months.

I bring my own cleaning supplies with me to every clean plus the mop and bucket or steam cleaner. The steam cleaner works wonders on tiled, laminated and sealed flooring.

End of Tenancy Clean
Similar to that of a deep clean, however, these types of cleans involve fridge/freezer cleans and oven cleans if they are furnished property’s.

Regular Cleaning Service
This type of cleaning service is performed on domestic and commercial properties.
For a domestic/private home, these are usually performed on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Whereas for a commercial/office property, these are usually performed on a once or twice a week or fortnightly basis.
A regular cleaning service usually involves the following:-
- Dusting of ceiling, light fittings, shelves, picture frames, ornaments, blinds/shutters, banisters, dado rails & skirtings.
- Cleaning kitchen worktops, tiles, sinks, outside of cupboards/drawers, extractor fan & the oven exterior.
- Bathroom/shower suites, removing
Limescale
- Vacuum & mop hard floors
For offices or commercial properties, regular cleans are tailored to these types of premises. This will include cleaning and dusting areas such as computers, laptops, keypads etc.
To provide you with an accurate quote, I will arrange a suitable day and time with you to view the property, to discuss your requirements and assess the amount of work involved.
Following the visit, I will send you an email detailing all cleaning that will take place and provide you with a fixed price for the works.
