What is ARCA?

Hi there, I'm Alida Calistru, the heart behind this venture. With qualifications from ARB, RIBA, and Passivhaus, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to each project.

​My architectural journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to sustainability and innovative design, always with a keen focus on the needs and dreams of those I work for.
ARCA is a solo venture, but it thrives on collaboration with a talented circle of structural engineers, renewable specialists, interior designers, and contractors. Through nearly a decade of working in the UK, these relationships have grown into genuine partnerships, enabling me to provide holistic, integrated solutions.

My past experience in Europe has broadened my view on architectural and structural design and introduced me to a wide range of construction methods and project management techniques. This background helps me address the complexities of design and construction thoughtfully and efficiently, ensuring every project receives the detailed attention it deserves.

My approach is personal and direct, prioritising clear communication and a shared vision to create spaces that not only fulfil and, my hope, surpass expectations.
