I had a Hypervolt EV charger installed recently but I was not achieving the correct charging rate at the car. After speaking to the helpline (no long waking times) they were quickly able to identify that the ALM had not been set up right by the 3rd party installer. For three weeks the installer promised to phone me back with a return visit but didn’t, they also ignored any emails I sent them. I contacted the Hypervolt helpline to see if they could assist in any way, which they did. Within 24hrs the installer had contacted me with a time & date to rectify the issue. I have had a Hypervolt charger for almost a year now and love the charger. However the charger is only as good as the Support Team behind it. I cannot recommend Hypervolt enough as I've contacted them on 3 occasions over the year and had a response via email and phone within a few hours, which in this day an age just doesn't normally Happen. I spoke to Robert via Email yesterday and my charger is fixed. And he followed up today to make sure I'm happy it's working OK and gave me a few hints & Tips. Hypervolt are so easy to contact and have set the bar extremely high in terms of customer service. evpv was the company that came out to install the charger. We had planned out where to install everything, and Gary set it up much better than I envisioned. He was very professional and took no time to install everything. The charger itself is a fantastic piece of kit. I researched many chargers but kept falling back to Hypervolt. It looks clean, It doesn't stick out like a sore thumb (like other chargers), and it has every feature I want. This includes scheduled charging and solar integration. I also prefer the tethered approach, as I don't want to faff around with my spare cable. The companion app is fast and responsive, and you can control everything with it. I have used it on days to charge via eco mode (using some excess and some from the grid), but today I have managed to charge it via super eco (complete solar charging). You can also quickly monitor your charger from the dashboard website which is a nice touch. Updates to the charger are done remotely so you are never out of date with the latest patches. A great product is only as good as the customer service. And I can happily say Hypervolts customer service is 1 of the best I've dealt with. Installation was relatively quick and the installer knew exactly what they were doing. Only marking it down to 4/5 due to a miscommunication with the installer which led to a slight delay in installation. Had an issue with the EV charger not working when first installed. Hypervolt were very engaged attempting to address the issue over the phone with the installer on the day. Once it became clear that it needed further investigation they immediately organised to have one of their own engineers visit on the next working day. The engineer was extremely knowledgeable and professional, he very quickly fixed the issue and got every up and running. So I have had the hypervolt charger installed. There is a issue with the voltage my house gets that causing a issue. This I agree is not there fault. But what is there fault is I have no control over the system. I try and set a time to come on but it charges the car right away at peak time and peak cost. I have zero control over the system and the support team are doing nothing to help me out. I keep getting emails saying there system is down. The last email I got was at 7:59 pm as they are shutting at 8pm. The whole set up is poor. If I want to use this charger and benefit from the cheaper rate I need to stay up till 12am and then wake up at 05:30 am to ensure I don’t pay a premium rate and physically take the charger out of my car. My car charges perfectly fine on a friends charger and on public chargers. From my experience I would give this company a wide birth. Customer service and product is poor. There are much better chargers for similar price out there. Just short of two weeks later they have fixed my issue. For the first time I’ve been able to plug my car in, go to bed and have a car charged. 4 weeks on still no fix for the problem and hypervolt customer services has left me high and dry. So I have no me resorted on a de install and a install of a new device a Zappi and what would you know every issue that hypervolt said I had did not exist they blamed everything but themselves and there equipment. The Zappi has been replaced and my problems do not exists anymore. Be very careful with this company there chargers may work most of the time but mine did not. Be very careful as they are not interested in helping you resolve any issues. Thankfully I had a very understanding installer who did go above what he was meant to do. But please everyone be careful with this company. Service is very poor if you have problems. I have now raised a complaint about the above to there complaints department, so we will see if they respond to this. More...

I have had the charger in for over a year and have from time to time emailed a few technical queries about eg, obtaining a monthly list of all the home charging sessions and, how to connect to the ethernet socket inside the charger (useful if your wifi signal is weak or variable). I have had clear, prompt responses by email and on several occasions with a follow up phone call. Emailing the monthly list of charging sessions (including costs where the customer has provided tariff data) has now been adopted as a standard feature.
