I am very happy with the service Chris provided. We needed quite a lot of work done to provide outside power sockets and a range of exterior lighting in a newly landscaped garden (various wall lights, spike lights in the hedge, under bench LEDs and so on ) Before beginning the job Chris talked through the various options available to us. Highly recommend Chris! He went totally out of his way to help me. He took time out of his day free of charge to come and check my appliance and connections before the day. I didn’t need to book in, Chris was able to come when was convenient for me. On the day he was fitting my cooker he came across a problem with the electric switch, He changed it for me without hesitation and nothing was any trouble for him! I would highly recommend Chris! He came round to look at the work and discussed all the different options for what was quite a long list of repairs and installations needed in the house. He took me through in detail what would be involved to check that I'd be happy with the plan and clearly laid out all the costs involved. Chris and his colleague got the work done quickly over a couple of days and left the place looking spotless. More importantly, the quality of work was excellent as well! I really appreciated the attention to detail and the high-level finish at the end of the job. For example, Chris knew how I wouldn't want plastic trunking to be used and for all wiring to be neat and hidden, so when a new circuit that was required for the oven installation needed wiring running from the front to the back of the house, he was able to channel it in the walls with very little disturbance – I couldn't have asked for a better result! All of this work was done with a very quick turnaround after initially chatting with Chris and at a competitive price as well. He was very responsive and extremely punctual – something that is hard to find with a lot of contractors! :) Look forward to using Chris again and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work. What do you love most about your job?
I love the interaction with the new people I meet and find it quite exciting to solve a problem or install a nice job for them. I always go above and beyond for my customers, and who doesn't like a little praise for a job well done?
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've wanted to start on my own for many years, to be my own boss rather than working for a thankless company. I wanted to make a change to how the industry is perceived; rather than a company sending an engineer to get the job done asap and with little regard to customer satisfaction, I always wanted to bring a warm yet professional feel to how business is done. I will never rush a job just to move onto the next. The way I see it, is that if I'm calm and spend the time getting it right then the customer would be more likely to be at ease and will be happier with the job and would be more inclined to ask me back again, and so far this ethos hasn't let me down, much of my work is repeat business or recommendation.
Why should our clients choose you?
ElectricCo has proven over its first year of trading that the interactions between client and professional needn't be a hassle or stressful. I treat all of my customers respectfully whilst delivering a world class service (Just read my reviews!). Communication is critical in my opinion, I always respond quickly to queries, keep the customer up to speed with the work progress and will always advise whats best.
