Directroofline took time to assess what I needed done re the house guttering. I had concerns about a damp patch in the house which they investigated for me. I asked also for a check on the state of the two chimney stacks which hadn't been pointed for some years. I wasn't surprised to find that one chimney stack just needed pointing and new pots but the other would probably need rebuilt. Close up photos of the latter clearly showed me the state of it. There was no pressure on me to accept his word for it. I was prepared to hire him at the prices quoted which included the hire of scaffolding and the services of a builder. The guttering was repaired and a piece of torn roof felting found above the damp patch was replaced. The safer chimney was repaired before Easter. The second one has just been completed. The quality of the work was excellent and very professionally done both by Directroofline and the builder hired by them . The latter took the trouble to find the right bricks to match the house which had been built in the early 1950s----without my asking. They all left the site tidy and clean. They were happy to answer any queries I had. The payment for the completed work was as quoted---no hidden extras.
