Paul and his team have just completed an excellent job for us. Our garden was overgrown and neglected (owing to some personal stuff we’ve been tackling) and we were desperate for a blitz so that we could see what we still have and then plan what we do next. From the moment I first spoke to Paul, through the assessment and quotation process, we’ve been so impressed and today’s results are beyond expectations. The team were all super: I was at work so I missed the actual process and came home to an absolute dream. I’m reliably informed that the team were a happy crew who worked really well together. They have taken away every scrap of garden waste and have respected our property - and us - as you always hope to find but rarely do. We can’t recommend Paul and the team highly enough. Absolutely fantastic service, had a number of Connifers and a Sycamore cut down, a willow and the hedgerows bought back down to a managable size. Paul, Pete, Luke and Alex were all superb. A very tidy job and the garden looks amazing. Very knowledgable and will use again for some new fencing and to monitor an ash we have. The garden was left spotless once they'd finished too. More...

Direct tree services removed a dead Roman tree from my front garden, doing a superb job.There was no mess left after removal. I recently had Paul to carry out work at my home. I went with direct tree services partially due to the reviews. But my experience was nothing like the comments here. Paul quoted a price based on pictures. He then came to look and advised it was a bigger job than he had expected so increased the cost. On the day they were due to start he then increased the cost further by another £200. I reluctantly agreed but expressed my disappointment. Paul and his team pollarded 1 tree out of the 5. Then packed up and left. I received a text explaining he wasn't going to finish the job and I should get other prices. The only saving grace was that he didn't try and ask for part payment hence the addition star. I am now left looking for new companies to do the work I had hoped would have been completed within a few days. For a professional contractor to get the cost wrong 3 times then walk off the job is not acceptable. More...

Paul and his team removed a huge dead tree from the bottom of our garden and reshaped a Yew tree during summer 2021. Paul negotiated with the adjoining landowner to create habitat piles for wildlife with the branches and foliage. Log piles were made to attract wildlife into our garden. Apart from the missing tree it was almost impossible to tell that Direct Tree Services had been. The garden was undamaged and cleared up. Wath Hall is delighted with the quality of the extensive work carried out by Paul and his team. The many trees in the grounds of Wath Hall are essential to the setting of our community owned Georgian mansion and had not been managed for years. The guys did an amazing job removing 6 giant conifers and cutting back the remaining ones for us. We were a little concerned about the close proximity to our log cabin and also the mess they might make of our neighbours garden which they were using for access. But they worked around the cabin with no issues at all and did a sterling job of cleaning up the entire area afterwards and removing all debris. Aside from having tons more light and space you wouldn’t know they’d been! They somehow managed to get what first appeared to be two days work, done in one day too. Direct Tree Services did an excellent job on our trees crown reducing and thinning them out. They were very knowledgeable on the spp of trees and even brought to our attention some spp we didn't know we had in our garden, excellent job.
