After a few months of shopping around for a new boiler and a trustworthy boiler installer, we chose to go with Diligent Energy Solutions. To be fair, the reviews speak for themselves! Not all companies that have amazing reviews on trust pilot, and check a trade, are forthcoming. We did encounter a few local businesses that had 5-star reviews that didn’t bother turning up, were rude on the phone, said they don’t cover the area, despite being based in Solihull?! and some even turned worked down?! However, Diligent Energy Solutions have a very professional approach that many businesses could learn from. From start to finish, the service was excellent! Greg attended the property a few times before the installation - firstly to check what could be done with the old boiler and even installing a part to see if it could be fixed. The old boiler was over 20 years old, so it was time for a new boiler. Just one call to Greg and he was available at short notice. He came over a couple of times, pre-install, to answer any questions we had (and we had a very comprehensive list), which didn’t faze him! We had a regular boiler which needed a full system update. This meant taking water tanks out of the loft and airing cupboard. We were so apprehensive about the mess and the work that goes into a full system install with existing pipework. Greg answered all our questions and put us at ease. Chase single-handedly did a full system install! It took two full days, but Chase did the work with ease and conscientiousness! He was also respectful of the property and surroundings. He left minimal mess, took the rubbish away with him, and even got someone to collect the rubbish! To be honest, I don’t know what we were worried about! He worked solidly for two days straight! We were so impressed with the way this company works! From quote to installation was unbelievable! We had many quotes, some cheaper, and some at an extortionate cost. But we chose this company based on the reviews and professionalism! After all, a business relies on trust, knowledge, transparency, and professionalism! And they have it all! We did have a few minor issues, which is understandable given the amount of work involved. These were ironed out swiftly by Carl, the Director. Again, a sign of a trustworthy company! Honestly, they’re aren’t many companies like this one around nowadays! If we ever require any gas or plumbing services in future, we believe that Diligent Energy Solutions will be the first point of call. A special thank you to Chase! From the initial visit for a quotation right through until installation was complete Diligent Energy Solutions Limited were a very professional and friendly company to deal with. On completion I found one minor snag with the bar shower installation where they had not made good where the water pipes dropped down from the attic. A quick email resulted in an immediate response and the issue was resolved by the engineer who had performed the inital installation. In all, this is an excellent company who have converted our ancient back boiler system to a modern combi boiler with a minimum of fuss and disruption to our daily life. I can honestly say that everyone at Diligent energy takes pride in their work and very trustworthy company who know what they are doing. My initial contact was with Jack, the sales staff who took into account the personal requirements when giving quote, unlike some companies which just throw out generic figures. The quote was very reasonable. The job was booked in within a week and Carl came out to carry out the work and was absolutely terrific, extremely knowledgeable and really listening to my needs and requirements regarding the work. There was some issues obtaining the cylinder, through no fault of Diligent energy solutions but Carl quickly found a solution and they made sure that I was not without hot water ever, very important when you have young children. The job itself was not straight forward as it required some rerouting of pipework and conversion from gravity fed system to an unvented pressurised system. However, it was carried really quickly and efficiently and I was superimpressed with the speed of installation, especially given that most plumbers were quoting 3-4 days, Diligent energy solutions did it in only 1.5 days. Not only that, you would never have guessed they had even been there other than the improvement in the heating system!!! They cleaned up after themselves both inside and out. I have had many tradepeople in the past who have really let me down but I have been so impressed with Diligent energy solutions and the whole team from Alex and Jo in the office to Jack, Jay, Chase and Carl that I have requested for additional work to be carried out namely a new bathroom. Our 35 year old boiler finally gave up the ghost so we contacted various installers for quotes. What first impressed me about Diligent was Alex's attitude to sales -she was refreshingly non-pushy and it was this that actually helped secure my business. She arranged for Jack to visit at the weekend to check the system and provide a comprehensive quote based on his actual installation experience, not just sales patter. The quote was not the cheapest we received but the positive vibe emanating from the whole company, together with the unrivalled aftercare package was what cinched the deal. Installation was not a simple swap as we wanted the new combi boiler moving to the airing cupboard but Jay worked tirelessly to get it installed in the timescale given. Unfortunately we had a glitch with the boiler on the first weekend but the 24hour helpline was answered by an actual engineer who went through various troubleshooting steps. He would have come out there and then but we decided it was not an urgent enough issue to require a weekend callout. A visit was arranged and the engineer arrived at 9.30 on the Monday and had the issue resolved by 10am In summary this is how service companies should be run and I would wholeheartedly recommend Diligent to anyone. The job was tricky, and Jay had to think outside the box to fit the condensate pipe. He worked solidly without a break until the job was complete, explained the boiler operation and controls, and left the place spotless. Everything from first contact to payment was made easy for me, and even when I changed the flue requirement a day before fitting, it was just not a problem for them.
