My Wife and I have just returned from a Fitness weekend in Brecon. It was our first experience of anything like this and we are still praising it now and passing the word to our friends. (Must be carefull or it may be full next time!). The House and location were superb with views accros the Hills and valleys to wake up to. The activities included Running Walking Yoga and Pilatis with guidence given on all. There was something for everybody whatever your ability and interest with a very full daily programme starting at 8 o`clock. The food was excellent and varied prepaired by the resident couple who looked after us well. The people who attended were a good mix of ability and we all got on very well, without the TV! Our hosts Gary and Suzy could not have been more attentive with their classes on various relevant topics in keeping with the activities. I think we all managed to improve but not as much as Suzy`s snooker!. We found it very difficult to leave the serenity of the location and left feeling 100% better than when we arrived thinking we could of stayed longer. The overiding critical facter was the weather. We had cool sunny days that made the activities that much more enjoyable as with most country locations. I’ve gone from not being able to run for a minute to running a 5k - something I never thought possible . Gary has given me the skills and techniques to be able to run properly (there is a lot more to running than just putting one foot in front of another! ) I need the motivation from group running and the Dash 4 Fitness is a friendly bunch of mixed ability runners and I thoroughly enjoy all the organised runs. It's welcoming to new runners, full of friendly faces (remember them as you high five everyone whilst running around the Lido! ), really well led and you only compete with yourself. I'm trying to get fitter and have recently started park runs but wanted to start going out more than once a week. I found Dash for fitness which is a very supportive local running group which keeps me motivated to get out there and go for runs. I find it helpful having a group to run with as it helps keep me moving...the group are lovely and after my first run I had enough confidence to run the park run without stopping AND get a personal best � would highly recommend.
