Conor Mckenna architect

We are so pleased with the work that Conor did for us. We found him easy to work with, full of good ideas, diplomatic when we started to lose the run of ourselves, flexible and very reasonable and we have ended up with a fantastic open plan kitchen/living/dining area as part of a double storey extension, along with a great patio and driveway area. We would definitely recommend him.

Outstanding talent complemented by an approachable and easy to work with manner.Conor inspired immediate confidence through his passion for our project - a 6m x 4m dining / living extension. We had a reasonable idea of what we wanted and could afford. Conor was able to guide us as to what was realistic and affordable but helped us achieve far more than we could imagine. On the first visit, Conor helped us shape our vision and with a very quick turn around was able to provide a computer generated image that helped us visualise our project. Conor was so willing to update and amend these early concepts and to provide ideas about how we could enhance aspects of the design. He was able to illustrate his ideas through pictures of previous projects. He met us more often than most architects might be willing and at times that were convenient to us.Conor assisted with all the stages from planning applications, building control and tender and his professional insight was worth its weight in gold in this regard. Our builder was most impressed with Conor’s plan and, in his professional experience, few architects would have been able to maximise the potential of this design without extensively increasing the cost. There were three unique issues to be considered for our build and the builder was most grateful for Conor’s expertise in these matters. Conor helped up with an extension on to our house in Belfast.We couldn't recommend Conor highly enough. He spent a lot of time visiting us in our home and took time to go through what we would like to achieve from the extension. We ended up with a double story wrap around to gain a bigger living space along with a fourth bedroom with en-suite.We had some builders quoting for the work but Conor also put our plans to tender with some builders that he had worked with. I can only echo the other reviewers with respect to Conor's dedication and hard work on our extensive renovation project.He called with us many times and provided a number of excellent solutions to our needs (a young family, needed more space in a more open environment) .
