CB Plastering

I used CB Plastering for a job about a month ago, and two weeks after Chris was out, the ceiling had cracked. My boyfriend had asked to have the ceiling re-boarded before plastering as a previous plasterer had pointed this out. However, Chris ensured us that a re-skim would be sufficient. As seen on the attached photo, this was definitely not the case. The after service we received was of very pool quality, as Chris basically said that it was our problem. I simply cannot recommend Chris and CB plastering. He doesn't show on agreed times; his price is higher than many other plasterers; at the moment of our service, his plastering knowledge was lacking, resulting in a bad final product; and he becomes rude and cannot admit when making mistakes. We recently used Chris for a job and sadly we are unable to leave a positive response. Chris was proactive in contacting us when we posted an advert for a job, however let us down three times with no prior warning. His work was fast, however poor quality. We asked him to reboard and skim our room, he convinced us that a skim coat with no reboarding was sufficient. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't and the plaster cracked and fell off the ceiling. Chris demanded more money to come and fix the problem and failed to accept any responsibility for the mess he had made. He also charges a lot for a poor quality service. The bill for the day came out at £400 cash, for a 9m2 room with minimal materials used. Overall in good faith I cannot recommend Chris. He let us down on a a simple job and at the time of writing is lacking in basic plastering knowledge. His aftercare service also let a lot to be desired. There are plenty of quality plasters out there, who charge a cheaper price. More...

Highly recommended! Chris came and plastered our ensuite in July - excellent and professional service provided from quote through to completion. He kept us updated, arrived on time, kept everything very tidy and did a high quality finish. Couldn't have asked for anything better!
