3 of us travelled as Assisted Travellers. First experience for 1 us. We have only praise and thanks for the help we were given by the friendly staff. The airport has had another massive overhaul and it's now ultra modern. The waiting lounge has a bar which sells quite a good range of food. There is the normal selection of beers and spirits along with craft beers from The Full Circle Brew Co (7.60 per pint). Coffee is £3.59 and it's quite nice There is a burger king, WH Smith, JD Sports and Quaystonen bar and kitchen. Newcastle International Airport is a great Airport for all of the North East very friendly staff the airport is kept immaculate plenty of shops to brows round and a great duty free why not come and see for yourself

I have always found the airport, from parking to going through security fairly easy. Yes sometimes queues, but the staff are always chatty when they can and much better than airports abroad. There isn't loads of shops and choices when in the lounge, but there is enough and I much prefer than some of the larger airports. My break/holiday starts here or if I'm working, I can work fairly easily. So it's a good all rounder for me. Signage and toilets good as well. More...

Parking fees can be high when picking up people from the airport because of the uncertainty of the time taken to disembark and move through the terminal. Departure - no delays 5/24.
