Loft insulation
Standard loft installation is appropriate for most home all laid in between and over the joists.
Generally speaking if your home has an accessible loft with no damp or condensation issues, it will be a good candidate for loft insulation.
Even if you already have some insulation it may need a top up. The recommended depth a mineral wool insulation (the most common) is 270mm (approximately a foot) but there are many other materials out there (usually more expensive) which require different depths.
Loft insulation is effective for at least 40 years and will pay for itself over and over again in that time .
Some people might be eligible for funding (see below) towards the cost of professional installation, depending on your circumstances and how much insulation you currently have. If you are unsure why not have an Energy report conducted on the property.
Utilising Government funding available from the Ofgem regulated Energy Company Obligation schemes, our company objectives are to reduce carbon emissions, reduce energy bills and improve the energy efficiency of all viable properties. Working in partnership with EON, SSE and Scottish Power, our surveyors are available to offer you these benefits totally FREE of charge, completely hassle FREE.
Funding is available only to properties that have an E, F or G energy rating and the home owner or tenant in receipt of qualifying benefits. Contact for more info.
